Journaling: This pregnancy was really fun and enjoyable, but the delivery and recovery were worse than I remember. I was so ready for it to get over, laying there on that table, my whole body hurting, shivering with that spinal tap induced headache, but then they brought her to me, and my heart went pitter patter: Ariana Grace, our bonus baby. 3 days in the hospital, and pretty much all she did was sleep, but once we brought her home, the tears commenced, and I was up 5 hours the first night with an unhappy baby. SO hard. But the last few days have been really nice. She’s slept most of the time, and when she’s awake, she’s really alert and precious. I keep thinking how much I would hate to have missed this child. I don’t want to do it again, but I am so thankful to have her.
