Sometimes, I wish I could hear your voice once again. I mainly think that I have got used to the fact that you will never be able to talk again but there are sometimes when I catch myself thinking I can hear you calling me and then realise that it can’t be true. I know you mourn the loss of your voice and want to be able to shout and sing and chat as you always used to, but sometimes I think people forget that it is not only hard for you - but hard for me as well. Still, I am so grateful that you are still here with me that it is usually a small price to pay.
