I don’t know how it got to this stage actually. I used to be so good at keeping the house organised. I was all Fly Lady in the cleaning arena with menu plans, cleaning schedules and lists galore. The house was immaculate and I loved it. I didn’t love that it took me hours every day to achieve it, but all in all I was happy and so was the rest of the family. (Not least of all because they really didn’t have to lift a finger). And then one month I didn’t write up a menu plan. So I winged it. Then I didn’t do the deep cleaning of the focus area because really, it was pretty clean already. And then scrapbooking demanded my attention so the windows didn’t get cleaned. Understandable right? I mean scrapbooking is SO much more fun. Little by little, the cleaning schedule went out the window. I stil cleaned, and the house was tidy, but it wasn’t as clean as it should be. And it annoyed me. It stressed me out. And it was no-ones fault but my own. Starting part time work was the nail in the coffin. Even after just a couple of hours work outside the house, I didn’t remotely feel like cleaning once I got home. Cleaning was relegated to Saturday mornings. But enough is enough. It’s time to get sorted again. It’s a new year, and I need
a new plan. A modified cleaning schedule that won’t stress me out. I’m going
to do it. Get organised again, and run this house like it should be. Alright...
deep breath...let’s do this...it's time once again to become an organized domestic goddess. 14th Jan 2012.
