Journaling Reads:

While I have more than my fair share of vices, being glued to the TV is not one of them. Sure I have certain shows, like Criminal Minds, that I watch faithfully, but most of the time I would rather be reading or creating. I don't do movies either. Sitting in a dark theater with a bunch of strangers is not my idea of a good time. Unfortunately, I am the only member of my family who is not tied to the big or little screen. Both my son and my
mother are movie fanatics. When John Tyler was little, he and my mother used to go to the movies every Saturday. He would come home so excited over what he had seen. He would tell me the whole story and even act out his favorite scenes. I have never watched a Monty Python movie, but I know entire skits because my son has acted them out over and over again. I laugh my head off each and every time. The kid just kills me. Since my son and my mother both love TV and movies, I try to not just understand their addiction, but to participate as much as I can. It's not easy. Every time I sit down to watch something with them, one of two things happen. I either fall asleep, or I get antsy thinking about what else I should be doing, wait for a commercial and wonder off to "accomplish" some thing. It really bothers my son that I can't sit still to enjoy this activity that he loves so much. So I have made a comittment to spend time once a week watching a show with him. He chose The Walking Dead, and while
it would not have been my first choice, or second for that matter, I do find myself becoming caught up in it. A show about zombies. Whodathunkit?
OK, it's scary just how close this hits home to me. I'm just the same. I can watch 1-2 of my favourite shows, but I'd much rather be scrapping. Hubby on the other hand is totally addicted to the TV. Kids are somewhere inbetween. You've done well merging kits on this page. I like the big armchair as a focal point.

What a fantastic photoless page! I like your element cluste.I'm like you and Jacinda...the tv is off all day every day, until DH gets home...even if he isn't watching it. it is on. I do enjoy my fave shows and several dvd's but I just play them on my laptop or pc while I'm scrapping.

You did a great job on this, I like how you have the criminal minds logo/pic on the tv screen and the armchair is adorable! I can relate as well, I do follow some shows but only on DVR when I am in the mood to watch...I love having the silence of the TV off when I can get it

Thanks Everyone. I really want to improve my clustering. I love the look, but I can't seem to pull it off like I wish. ;)
