- Journaling reads: This Independence Day, we celebrated in the same way that we normally do by going to Mimi’s pool for swimming and a cookout. We stayed at the pool for several hours and then headed to Aunt Kim’s house to hang out until it got dark enough to shoot some fireworks. Somehow, I was able to wrangle you and Kaden together and convince you to sit still long enough for me to snap a few quick photos of the two of you in your Independence Day shirts. You made sure to pose with the American flag without me even suggesting it. Of course as soon as I got a few shots, the two of you were up and running again, chasing each other and having so much fun. The two of you loved playing with the poppers and posing with sparklers, and waving the flag. My little patriotic kiddos! July 4, 2011
