A 2-pager from a wannabe photo book from my 2010 summer vacation in Rüdesheim am Rhein.
This page features the Rheinsteig - to quote Wikipedia, it's "a hiking trail following a mainly elevated path along the righthand side of the river Rhine in Germany, its 320 km route stretches from Bonn to Wiesbaden. The Rheinsteig passes through woodlands, vineyards and offers spectacular views of castles, challenging ascents and descents. Generally very well signposted with an 'R' on a blue background. The Rheinsteig allows either ambitious long-distance hiking or a rich variety of short tours."
That's official. Unoficially, we never knew what the blue/white sign stood for when we first saw it (and I only learned it was a stylised R when doing this page), but it's true we kept finding it on every step while busy getting lost.
