I went to a conference where the speaker talked about self-esteem in girls and one thing that shocked me was when she said that 80% of 8 to 9 year olds feel unhappy about something about them. This is my daughter's age and it made me sad. So I decided to do a special project with my entire girl scout troop to celebrate the beauty in all of us and put all the photos we take in a book to look at when they might be feeling a little low that day. We are calling this special project - "Project Me" and these are the first photos that we took.
