One, not so sunny day, Tom got home from work and found us chilling inside the
house. It was, after all, raining. And it wasn’t just any kind of rain. It was the rain
that Washington is known for. I personally prefer the term torrential down poor.
And it was no surprise that the front of our driveway had gathered again to create
what I like to call "Lake Moody." And with a twinkle in his eyes, Tom grabbed up
the newly unpacked rain boots and told the boys to get dressed. Out we went,
and into the giant puddle the boys jumped! They had SO much fun!! Connor -
with the encouragement of me & Tom - continued running back and forth
with all his might until he finally fell down. But there was only laughter as he
got back up and kept "falling" down. Even Tom joined in the fun, showing the boys
how to make the biggest splash! We stayed out there for a long time. Cars driving
by went extra slow and had nothing but smiles and friendly waving for us.
