My son and his kindergarten teacher: a saga
Journaling: You’ve had quite a year with your Kindergarten teacher. Through all the struggle in the beginning of the year, I worried if you two would ever connect on a friendly level. But by the middle of the year, things had turned around and you two really started to get along. Unfortunately, Mrs. Hardesty had to leave early, with a whole month left in the school year and you were devastated. You have such a hard time with change and the people you love not being around that you cried for 2 days about it being Mrs. Hardesty’s last day.. It was almost impossible to get you in the car that morning to go to school and you cried the whole time. After school, I picked up some flowers for you to give her and she gave you a big hug and we took this picture. I’m so glad that you finally got to have that special relationship with your teacher and am so sorry your heart was broken because she had to go. With any luck, you’ll have her again next year too! Though I do wonder what it’s going to be like for you year after year changing teachers. You get so attached that it’s hard for you to let go. Such a tender-hearted boy!
