Journaling reads:Every time I look at you I am reminded what a great blessing it is to be a mother. You didn’t come with a manual and sometimes I feel inadequate. I am not always sure what to do when you are being disobedient or throwing a little toddler fit. When you are upset my first instinct is to solve every problem that comes your way. When you are in pain or sick my heart breaks and I wish I were in your place. Then there are the moments of pure joy - your first cry when you came into the world, your first smile, your first steps, learning how to say words. I cherish the times when it’s just you and me, seeing your big smile as you toddle over to me to give me a sweet hug and a kiss. I feel totally overwhelmed by the love I feel for you during those times. These are all glimpses of what it means to be a mother. In all this I feel truly blessed.
