Journaling Reads:
The drive to Louisiana for our trip was a little long but the kids were pretty good! They watched music videos on DVD, snacked, and colored. I moved into the back seat with them for the last few hours, to color with them and help keep them busy. We were having some snacks and Piper said “look, I spelled mommy!" I glanced over at her lap desk - and sure enough she had! She cleverly bit apart the pretzels to make the letters and even put them in the right order. She can’t read yet, but she knows her letters and recognizes some words by site. Mommy is one of them! I just loved my special surprise from Piper!
