Journaling reads: I first met Meghan when she moved in right at the end of our Sophomore year of high school. We soon realized that we were both singers, and before too long, we had become great friends. I had struggled finding good friends after we came back from the Philippines, and Meghan was the first friend I had had that I felt was a true friend that I could really trust. She was such a blessing in my life. She helped me come out of my shell and meet new people. I’ve always been so grateful to her for being the exact kind of friend that I needed at that time. After high school, we lived together at BYU for one year, and then Meghan moved back home. After a while, we didn’t keep in touch quite as well, but we saw each other from time to time, and we knew basically what was going on in each other’s lives. When we moved back from Arizona, we ended up building our home just a few blocks away from Meghan and her family. This has given us the chance to hang out more often. Over the past few months, we have been getting together regularly for play dates. And, once again, at a time when I have really needed a good friend, Meghan has been the one who is there, who has known me for a long time and understands my history, who doesn’t judge my quirks and just loves me the way I am. When I had my thyroid surgery, she was the only person outside of my family who called to check on me and bring me dinner. When Raegan was born, she brought me dinner twice and has been so fun to talk to about “girly” stuff now that we both have daughters. I was so blessed to have Meghan enter my life when she did the first time, and I’m doubly blessed to have her friendship now, for the second time around.
