Journaling: The first full moon of the new year almost wasn’t visible here. Cloud cover from the approaching storm nearly blocked its luminance for the whole of the night. As it was, the photos I took at 1:00 in the morning were just in the nick of time. I had a window of about 30 minutes to play before a new wave of clouds came rolling in to obscure my view. Luckily, with the moon so bright and the clouds so dark, the resulting images of the moon shining through the cloud cover are beautiful!
