Journaling: I can’t believe I ever worried about not wanting to come back. I was so afraid that seven months in America would make me forget how much I love living here in KK, but when I look at this picture, my heart aches to return “home.” I remember how glorious it is to drive along the coast of the South China Sea on my way to get groceries...how the best view in town is from the parking deck at Centrepoint... How friendly and the kind the local people are... how loved I feel... how much I love them in return...how yummy frozen mangos are...how delicious nasi lemak and roti susu and lemon teh ping tastes...How much I love going out to the beach at Tanjung Aru to play frisbee and drink pineapple juice...How much I would miss the village. If I’d had a choice, I would never have known to pick this city on the South China Sea, but of all the places in the world where I could live, this is the only oneI'd ever want to call home.
