JOURNALING:
Dear Wes,
This year we started what will hopefully
be a yearly tradition for our family -
taking you to shop for a local child in
need. We let you choose an “angel child”
off of the Angel Tree, then went shopping
for that child. Included on the list of
the child’s “wants” were underwear and a
winter hat. Seeing those items on the list
was nothing short of totally heartbreaking.
Although it was a hard concept for you
to understand this year, I hope that
you can slowly learn that the greatest
gift you can ever give, in any season,
is the gift of giving to others.
