can single-handedly make me feel like the worst mother in the world...
because the horrible truth is that 90% of the time I don’t want to. She always
asks when I’m in the middle of something, or ready to relax after a long trip
of errands or just after I sit down to play on the computer. Too often I flat out
tell her, “no” or “not right now”. Why do I do that?! It’s so stupid. I know that
when she’s all grown-up I’m going to wish I could have this time with her
back for even just a day. This is something I battle with... putting her needs
above my wants, to remember that this is a time of investment. I love her.
