My 2nd grade class this year is soooooo curious! One little boy imparticular asks questions like, "What does the warship made from 9/11 scrap metal look like?" or "What color were the confederate uniforms?" So instead of dismissing the questions they ask during math, reading, writing, etc., I made a WHY? box. They can write their question down. Then, I'll choose 1-2 questions a week to look up & research. Then, we'll discuss it as a class. I'm hoping, by the end of the year, they can research their OWN questions!
