my dd just lost her first tooth
journaling -
the first lost tooth. you couldn’t be more excited about it and a little piece of my heart broke off. i don’t think i would have taken it so hard had we not registered you for kindergarten on the same day. the silly tooth had been wiggly for a while but one bite of pizza crust and it started doing a dance. it took just a little bit longer that night and we thought maybe daddy might want to pull it for you, but we learned that he’s a bit squeamish about things like that. we were laughing about it in the bathroom as your tooth popped loose and came out. my sweet, girl, when did you get so big? could you please help mom out and stop growing and stay my baby girl forever? i guess for now i’ll just enjoy your gap toothed grin.
