This is for the Sugar Free Challenge "Right Now". I took these pics last night of my sons eating fast food for probably the 3rd or 4th time in the last week or so. BAD MAMA!!!
Here is my journaling:
Yes, I know that a french fry isn’t a vegetable and I am aware of the fact that there are better ways for the kids to get their daily intake of calcium than from a chocolate shake but here lately we have turned into a grab and go kind of family. Right now things are particularly crazy! The kids have something (ie dance, baseball, soccer, PSR, acro class) every night and I feel like the majority of our time together is spent in the car, going from one place to the next. Plus, Kenny is out of town a LOT so it’s all on me most of the time to make sure everyone makes practice and dance class, all homework and projects are done, showers are taken, etc.. So, unfortunately, due to my complete lack of planning and preparation we are grabbing our dinner on the go quite a bit. Of course the kids don’t mind.
I think that if it was up to them they’d eat fast food every night. But, the beauty of being
the mom is it ISN'T up to them (thank God). Over the next few weeks I am really going to try to plan some healthier meals for all of us. They may not like it now but I’m sure they will thank me for it in the future (if not at least they will be around to tell me they didn’t).
