Hair Loss Sucks

I apologize if this grosses anyone out! I have had this photo for months and wasn't sure how to scrap it...this challenge seemed like the perfect opportunity.

Journaling: This is what I find in my drain every time I take a shower. For the past 5 years I have been losing my hair at an alarming rate. What is to blame? PCOS - Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. Don't get me wrong, I have always shed some. This is different. Even after I wash my hair, this is what I get. Not good for someone who relies on her hair for security! Yep, that's right, I feel more secure having long hair. Maybe because I feel more hidden. So, one of my biggest fears is that someday, I might actually have bald spots. I know there are worse things in the world and that I'd survive...I guess I just don't want to think about it. But, the fear is always there and I'm reminded of it every single day. Hair loss sucks! How brave to post something so personal!
Wonderful page and journaling {{HUGS}}.
My hair is my security too. :(

Great page, Keela! I have PCOS too and am having the same problem, so I totally understand where you're coming from. My hair has been the one part of my body I've always been proud of and complimented on, so it's very difficult! Good for you for having scrapped about this and in such a powerful way. The colors you chose and the paint swipe totally give that desperate feeling you also convey in your journaling.

sweetie you are not alone. i too suffer from this. have you tried the nioxin? it is found at wm as well as probably your salon. it is spendy, but it has seriously helped me. (((HUGS))) because i totally agree, it sucks to go bald!

Wow, Keela! That is really brave to put this out there like that! Thanks so much for sharing! I'm sure some other woman on this board will find help in your words! {{{{HUGS}}}}

{{{keela}}} I know how you feel. Until my ovarian drilling procedure in 2001, my PCOS made the hair on my head fall out like crazy. I had to clean the drain after every shower or every time I washed my hair. oh, I know all too well how you feel!

Keela! this is such a moving page! I'm so so so sorry that you are still having issues with your health! I think about you all the time and pray for you!
You did this page perfectly - and beautifully! thank you so much for playing keela!

Great layout, love the colors.

What a hard thing! It's interesting seeing all the different challenges we all have, thanks for sharing yours--
