My parents took me and my older brother to Iowa to visit my Dad's family in 1967. We drove from California and overnighted 2 nights along the way. One night in the trailer, I kept opening the shade covering the window and whispering very loudly to my brother "Kelly, look at the pretty lights." The problem with those lights was it was a thunderstorm headed toward us and we were in a trailer. Pretty exciting for a 3year old...but not so much for my parents.
The photo is my with my father, grandfather and great grandmother at her house on the Mississippi.
thanks for peeking :)
