The SSD challenge really got me thinking about Josiah's first year. And since I always feel there's not enough Daddy in their books, I put 1 picture for every 2 months of Josiah's first year and had my DH journal the page! It reads:
Josiah, I look at the layout your mommy made and I think about the first couple days of your life, a 2 day trip from Idaho to California. You were such a good boy through that whole trip. I don’t think words can express how much I fell in love with your smile right away, and ever since the first time I saw it, I have been trying to get you to do it. That “scrunchy” face you made makes me melt. Know that I love you and as long as I live, I will always try to make you smile.
