Do you ever look at pictures of your kids ...

and suddenly realize they have grown. I know that sounds silly but I saw this picture of my daughter today and I thought, "No that can't be Mya, she's my baby girl. This looks like a little lady." Tell me she looks like a baby ... please.

Thanks for indulging me in my weepy, "they grow too fast" mommy moment.

Boy, do I know that feeling!! I'm going through it right now with both Gracie & Chloe. Gracie is actually taller than I am now, and when I hug her, it's like hugging a woman friend. Chloe has gained 2 lbs in the past six weeks, which I know doesn't sound like much, but I swear, she looks GINORMOUS now.

Why can't they just stay tiny forever???

and btw, I still think Mya is one of the most beautiful little girls I've ever laid eyes on. Her little face is SO precious, and I LOVE her hair!

They do grow up too fast, my youngest little baby has just started school!!
Your daughter is beautiful and that is some amazing hair!!

I was going to say the exact same thing. She is incredibly unbelievably amazingly adorable! I wouldn't want her to change either!

I've had that realization! Its hard to have it suddenly hit you like that. For what its worth, she looks like a baby to me. :) My daughter is almost 10 so most girls younger than her look like babies to me.

I have this picture of my son when he was about 2, maybe 3. I remember being shocked by it and thinking about how grown up he looked in it. He's 6 now and the picture looks just like him NOW. It was like this eerie glimpse in to the future. LOL

you know what else i notice? I look at the kids and they look so grown up in the pictures now but a year from now I will look at the pictures and they look so young.. if that makes sense.

Totally!! I wonder what happened to that sweet toddler face and baby chubby cheeks (even though I didn't think they were that chubby just a year ago)??? :crying:

I sometimes look at Luke irl and think, "WHOA! When did he get so HUGE???"

btw, yep- she still looks like a baby. uh-huh. I wouldn't lie. :)

she is so cute Misty! to make you feel better my oldest DD saw Mya's picture and said "she is soo cute, she is younger than Abby, right?"...Abby just turned 6 so I say you are safe that you still looks like your "baby" :)

That's kind of cool. My kids play this game they invented where they have a pretend 'magic mirror' that shows them what they will look like as a grown up. Sometimes I wish I could look into that mirror too and other times I'm glad I can't.

Misty.... Oh! She is SO cute. And, I totally remember having a "woah! when did that happen" moment when my oldest turned 4. They change so much between 3 & 4, I think.

I love the side-by-side Jenn did! Had to do it, too... just to see! And! WOW!
Mine in June of 2010 and June 2012 (DS is almost 4 and almost 6, DD is 18 mo. and 3.5):

When I look at Mya, I just think,

HOLY COW THAT IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CHILD IN ALL THE WORLD!

And since the baby came along, the boys seem like giants. {sob} But at least they're helpful giants. ; )

Just wait until your baby is 21 and a big hairy beast! LOL These days my "baby" has four legs and a tail. :)

Misty, your little one is so lovely!

I feel like that all the time! Especially since June 1st hit... my baby will be 3 on the 30th and one week later my son will be 7. SEVEN wth? I don't like that! Together their ages will hit double digits, lol. They really do grow up way too fast!

I think this every time I see a layout of yours.....YOU HAVE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN EVER!!!! I mean, my boys are pretty darn cute....but your children are just beautiful!!!!!!

This. She is going to be stunning one day. She's absolutely adorable Misty.

I was going to guess her to be 3, maybe a few months past 3 so I think its safe to say she still looks like a baby... to others anyway. :)

Love the side by side shots. I can totally relate. My daughter in my head looks so much different than she does in real life. She's supposed to be 3 or so, not almost 10.

Thanks - I feel better ... a little. :)

You know what the worst thing is though? When their beautiful, smooth, fresh skin starts getting blemishes because of puberty. Ugh. I have ONE left who has not gone through it yet, but the other day I saw a few on his nose. :crying: And so now I'm just grabbing his face and trying to memorize that still-babyish look. *sigh*

I agree with the above - Mya is simply scrumptiously beautiful. :)

as i sit here with madelyn this morning....just the two of us....
i can't help but wonder, where my baby went. she's such a kid now *sniff*

I think about how big mine is getting too often. I try not to, because I get very emotional about it. Sigh.

And yes, Misty, she is so beautiful!

I snapped this photo of Avery yesterday while we were outside..and it hit me hard how old he looks. He's grown so much since just January it's scary. But when I saw this photo I got a glimpse of the teenager he'll be one day and it freaked me out lol

I had a freakout moment like this, taking the kids in to swimming lessons yesterday. It always feels odd to me to go somewhere without all the kids, like I should be waving people down saying "No! This is just half of them!" LOL! Anyway, I was just there with Katie (9) & Joshua (6). And as I was walking in, I had this surreal moment of thinking 5 years into the future when I would be walking in with Penny (who's almost 3) and Benjamin (who's 17 months)... and that was shocking. LOL! My kids all look so much alike that it's easy to imagine from the back that it actually was the two little ones as big kids. Sigh. And then I pictured that I'd have some teenagers at home! My gosh... where does the time go?!

Totally understand Misty. And I think she still looks little. All my kids seem so Grown up to me now. Both my teen boys are taller than myself and my husband now and it seems like yesterday they were ankle bitters.

They grow too fast. That's why I am planning to enjoy every minute and play mommarazzi ;-)
Just a few weeks to go.
