Speaking of Fonts

do you guys go through your font folder every so often and delete fonts you don't use? I hae never done this, but I find I tend to use the same fonts over and over....
 
I do, Angie!

I tend to stay in the same group of fonts for periods of time, then shift to another group, but I don't keep any fonts in my list that I do no love and want to use.
 
I haven't done this but I'm thinking it's about time lol I have so freakin many, but seem to come back to my fave typewriter and darcy fonts over and over
 
Funny you brought this up because I was just thinking about that today. I know I have a ton that I have never used and probably never will. On the To-Do list this week :)
 
I have deleted fonts in the past, but it's been a really long time. At one point I think I had 700 installed, maybe more.
 
I do... probably once every few months and sometimes right away after I've used a font and find that I don't really like it as much as I thought I would LOL

I pretty much keep my fave Darcy fonts and typewriter fonts
 
I am with Nikki... delete? What is that?
I LOVE fonts, but am like most of you... time to bite the bullet and just get rid of some! :)
 
I haven't done any cleaning up in a good long while and probably should. I tend to stick to my favorites so having a ton I don't use doesn't make a lot of sense. ;)
 
That's the kind of cleaning up I do when I get a new computer and have to decide what to move over. The rest of the time I don't. But I also don't download that many new fonts any more. Every once in a while I'll find one I love and install it, but I don't seek them out like I did when I was a newer digiscrapper.
 
I just checked and I have 1000+ fonts:blink::blink::blink: time to find the delete button!!!!!!!
 
ok I just deleted some and am around 800 now....for most of you, how many fonts do you have?
 
Thanks to this thread I just deleted about 100 fonts that I never use. I tried to delete more, but some of them were system fonts apparently and it doesn't let you delete them.

I thought I had way more, but according to my font folder I have 330 fonts now. I was sure I had over 500.

My old computer crashed and I have to say that I have been fairly discriminating in what fonts have been added. I love Darcy's fonts and so the ones that I have purchased have all been added to my list. There are a few free fonts that I've added, but that's all really. I was at Half Price books a few weeks ago and found a couple discs of scrapbooking fonts, which I considered briefly but then decided that they looked like they were being used on scrapbook pages maybe five or ten years ago.
 
I don't really have many fonts to startt with so I rarely delete.

On my old laptop I downloaded fonts until I could download no more and used less than 10 of them, so I decided then not to have loads anymore! :)
 
I delete some fonts over the weekend as my pc was really slow. I tend to install all of my DJB fonts immediately and save them in a different spot to. So deleting from the installment doesn't completely mean deleting.

But as most of you girls I have my favourites for a while and then skip to another. This DJB Sandra Dee from Saturday is really my favourite at the moment.
 
I have never deleted but should. I have over 1000 but they are not installed. I do wish I could delete some of them...like the ones that are in a different language because I know I will never journal with them!!!
 
I deleted a couple hundred when I got a new laptop back in November (I didn't realize I had almost 1000)

Then I put all the ones I have downloaded over the years, free & for pay, into a folder in My Documents and installed them all as shortcuts rather than regularly installing them in the windows font folder to keep them from bogging down my computer. And to keep them all in one place in case I lose everything and have to get it all from by back up drive.
 
I do! It makes it so much easier to keep track of the ones I actually love and use often. :)
 
I only have about 460, but I only have a handful of those installed. I pretty much use the same 5 to 10 fonts on all my pages!!! :D :D I don't delete them because they only take up a microscopic amount of space and I have a lot of specialty ones (holiday, dingbats ect) that I know will come in handy certain times of the year!! But I don't think I have downloaded a new font in like 2 years!!! :D
 
Haha, this laptop I inherited had about 700 fonts installed so I went on a delete-fest since I didn't use a lot of them! I'm down to about 300 fonts, but I still feel like it's a lot.
