TV Shows...and this is why...

...I never used to watch new shows.

Three of the new shows I picked up this year are canceled. :(

I really liked Alcatraz - now we will never know what happened to the sixty-threes!!! :crying:

And Awake - now we will never know why he has 2 lives! :crying:

The Firm. At first I didn't really like this, but I stuck with it and I ended up enjoying it. The only good thing is that I think they might at least wind up this story at the end of the season.

*sigh* I think I need to go back to waiting until shows are on Netflix.

I have not been able to get into Touch, but I have them recorded. Since it's been renewed, I guess I'll try to watch those this summer.

At least Person of Interest was renewed.

They cancelled way to many good shows this year and i have already seen some of the previews online for the new fall lineup and I am furious some of the shows that are coming out in the fall are crap. One show is about a family living next door to aliens ( im not kidding).

Alcatraz- This show was really good and now we will never know what happened to the 63's

Firm- I loved this show from the start, i really hope the finish up the story.

The River- it was scary good kept me on the edge of my seat but i was pretty sure it wouldn't make it

Missing- this one upset me it was finally getting good with all the twists it was on for like 5 or 6 episode, how can you even tell this soon if it wont make it.

There is a bunch of other shows that have gotten cancelled that i am not happy with.

This is why I DVR the season and then if it's cancelled I just delete it lol. I did watch Alcatraz and kind of liked it but it did get a little boring toward the end I think.

I never did get to watch Alcatraz, I had them DVRd, but a couple weeks ago my box died, and I had to trade it in for a new one :( I have been loving Awake! I'm sad that got cancelled!

Grrrr I never watch new shows either, but I took a chance and started watching Awake. I actually like it! I figured this would happen. How frustrating!

I know -- it's so frustrating when they do that.

My kids loved Terra Nova (and I liked it because it was something I could watch with them, which is kind of hard to come by these days). That one was cancelled a while back.
I tried to watch Alcatraz, but it got too "out there" for me.
My sister is a huge fan of Awake and I was about to start watching it, so I guess I can give that one a miss. :D
I have been watching Touch and I like it, but it doesn't really seem to be "progressing". It's kinda the same thing every week and the father/son dynamic is really starting to bug me.

Oh man! I liked Alcatraz and The Firm. Totally bummed about those two.

the only shows i watched on the list were house (i knew this was the last season cuddy leaving killed the show) and pan am which i haven't missed the past few weeks.

Breaking In was cancelled last year and SO many people signed petitions and stuff to bring it back, but then they added people to the cast that sucked (coughmeganmullallycough) and now it's been cancelled again! We loved that show...and CSI: Miami, Napoleon Dynamite, The River, Ringer, & Terra Nova. I knew that The River wouldn't last long because how long can they look for the guy, but it wasn't on long enough to be cancelled!

I've never heard of most of them being from uk but I'm super sad about CSI Miami, it's one of only a handful of things I actually enjoy watching :(

I watch House, but the last 2 seasons have sucked, so I'm OK with that going away. And at least they are having a series finale. It's when a show gets canceled without warning and things aren't tied up that bums me out.

What really makes me mad is that The Secret Circle and Ringer both had almost double the ratings of the stupid shows like 90210 and Nikita and Gossip Girl that they kept!

I have stopped watching 90210 and Gossip girl it has gotten really stupid and very teen high school crap. I heard that they are only giving gossip girl 13 more episodes next year then cancelling it. You can only do cheating, drugs and pregnancy so many times before it gets extremely old.

Aw man, I LOVE Unforgettable and I just read it got cancelled! :(
I'm just glad that Fox is giving Fringe another season to wrap things up before it goes away. The rest I can deal with, lol.

I agree! I usually say if I like a new show it's the kiss of death for it. We really like Alcatraz and The Firm - I didn't realize The Firm was canceled and just watched 5 episodes last weekend! :cursing:

I'm really bummed about Alcatraz. I really like that show! And now I have so many unanswered questions that will never be answered!

I didn't even know the River had been cancelled. I had some reservations about it, but was enjoying that one for the most part.

My kids like Once Upon a Time (another one we can watch together), so glad that one is still going to be around.

The Firm ...moving it to Saturday was a bad idea I think but it wasn't pulling the #'s opposite Person of Interest and Greys Anatomy on Thursdays. I really like this show and I HOPE it ends up on a cable channel or something in the future. Here's an article that says it's possible although pretty unlikely

Soooo bummed about Alcatraz. We'll never know (and wasn't she shot on the season finale?..grrr i hate unanswered questions)

I heard Terra Nova might get picked up by TNT..I liked that show too

DH likes Touch but I can't get into it...I don't like the pattern of the shows but I've tried watchng them and have them all on DVR maybe I'll take a day or so and watch them all back to back and see if I can get into it.

Glad Person of Interest is coming back.. <3 that show

I'm sad The Secret Circle is cancelled (even though it did get a bit strange half way through :D), but everything else I was watching has been renewed....yay! I watch too much tv already, so I'm glad I didn't start watching some of these since they've been cancelled anyway.

I'm really bummed about Alcatraz and GCB. I haven't watched the season finale of either yet and may just skip them and pretend they didn't exist. lol.

Thankfully, I didn't get into watching any of those shows this season! I stopped watching House 2 seasons ago, if I hadn't I'd be upset about that one being cancelled. I watched 4 episodes of Alcatraz and just couldn't get into it. I'm really hoping they get things together and bring shows that rock our socks like LOST and funny ones like Ugly Betty. I miss those shows!!

I wish they would bring back Ugly Betty.

What really makes me mad is that The Secret Circle and Ringer both had almost double the ratings of the stupid shows like 90210 and Nikita and Gossip Girl that they kept!

Ringer had the worst overall ratings on the network so I'm not surprised it got cancelled. The Secret Circle surprised me though. I just think Britt Robertson is cursed - they cancelled her show last season too.

And yeah, GG is getting 11 episodes or something for their final season. They're only getting that because the cast was already signed on thru season 6. I've been watching but I wouldn't have been sad to see it get cancelled now, haha.

Am excited they renewed Hart of Dixie - I thought for sure they wouldn't.

This is why I never watch new shows anymore. I got jaded by Dirty Sexy Money and am still scarred that I don't know what really happened in the storyline! :(

I was watching Alcatraz, too. I wish they would allow shows to at least finish up the story lines before canceling. I am not too surprised by the cancelling though. This is the second year in a row, I have chosen one new show to watch and its gotten cancelled.

I make up endings I like when there is no ending.

I had to do that with the last Outlander series book since it ended right in the middle of a bunch of stuff (still mad about that!).

Well that wasn't the last book!
Oh, I KNOW!!! But it takes her forever and ever to write one, so it will have been years since that one ended. When I recommend that series to friends, I always tell them to wait to read the last one until the next one comes out.
