Had to share - my girls mad ps skills...

Yesterday while I was scrapping the girls were watching me, and they decided they wanted to make a lo... They had no idea what to even do, so I showed them my kits, and how to pick elements out of it. Then I showed them that you can resize, and add shadows, and how to place the elements where you wanted them. They asked for help sometimes to put a certain element under something, and I sat with my hand on the shift key so when they made something smaller it didn't get squished beyond recognition :D, but other than that, they did it themselves... I think they went into element shock!

I had them type out their name and the date, and I'm so going to have them printed with mine!!

*Chloe decided that that little twine fastener must be a necklace :D

*edited to add that I did place the pic and the leaves underneath to get them started.

Lol they had so much fun but their little hands were getting sore from using the mouse so much. I don't think they'll be asking to do another anytime soon :)

So adorable!! Are you sure they won't ask for more? :) My dd made her first layout about a month ago and there doesn't go a day by she doesn't ask if she can make another one, lol.

Those are adorable! And you never know, it may spark a passion. On my very first CT I was on, one of the other girls on the team was 12!

Hehe - they are awesome! Watch out or they'll be begging for your computer so they can both scrap at the same time!

My DD scraps on her laptop (I have my digi kits backed up to her laptop as well as my EHD - call me paranoid! Plus I use her laptop to scrap when I don't want to use my desktop). Anyway, she loves doing it and is going to be printing off her own photo book this year of all her 6th grade memories that she has taken photos of.

That is so cool Marie!

They were so excited when I told them I'd post them here for everyone to see, and they're so giddy that they've got so many nice comments lol.

adorable! Becca loves to do this, she is 10, and she has her own folder with her layouts in them. I am gonna print a book for her soon, I think. Once when my EHD died and we lost everything she was as devastated as I was lol

How fun! They did a great job.

My DD has done a couple of pages and enjoys it much more than paper scrapping.

omg those are amazing! I've been thinking about giving my 9 year old 'lessons'... now I know I HAVE to.

For some reason (probably because of Zach's age) I read this as 9 MONTH old, not YEAR old... and I was like "Holy wow. She's starting the digiaddiction young!"

Hmm... maybe I should teach Zach how to use a mouse already... ;)

You are a better Mom than me...I tried to let my Emma and her friend try it but it was annoying the crap out of me cuz they were doing it "wrong" that I had to stop them. LOL

:D they were driving me nuts with the elements!!! Every time I thought they were done, there was another kit they'd want a bunch of elements from. And, oh how I wanted to teach them clustering lol. But, hey since they're only 6 lol, I figured we'd take it slow :p. It was fun though and I thought it was so cool that they wanted to try. They do have those discovery kids cameras, so maybe I'll let them scrap their own pics next time!
