feeling kind of freaked out

Went down into the village to pick up the papers this morning and casually said hi to my next door but one neighbour.

Police have just knocked on our door making enquiries about when he was last seen because he has been found hanged in his living room.

Well - I think so ???

I just waved and said hi, and he did the same. Keep thinking I should have stopped for a chat or something - not that it would be likely that I could have made any difference I suppose - but it is just so horrible:thumbdown:

Oh my goodness. I think I would be terribly upset... it's awfully horrible. But like you've said, you likely couldn't have changed things. I am so sorry!!!

But how wonderful that you showed kindness and waved a friendly hello. I have many neighbors who don't even extend the most simple friendly gestures.
