I've been drawn to nerdy a few times in real life...the intelligent, funny types push my buttons even if they don't fit my ideal physical type.

And I've fallen in love with characters, too...Jean Luc, Mr. Darcy (Colin Firth), Kenneth Branagh as Henry V, and Tom Selleck's character in 3 Men and a Little Lady.

Only "my type" boys (Ian Somerhalder, Matt Dallas, Tom Welling, John Stamos) make me swoon by just looking though.

My husband has TONS of thick hair and he used to say to me "aren't you glad I'll never be bald?" And my answer was always "my dad is bald and I have 11 bald uncles, a full head of hair has never been on my list of desired attributes."

My niece's boyfriend shaves his head and I think he is adorable. I can't go the sexy route with him though. :blink:

I've never had a thing for skinny guys. It is probably because I am not a small woman. I am 5'10" barefoot and I usually wear heals. I also have curves -- I really don't like the idea of out-weighing my man. LOL

This is so me, too! I am 5'9" and never want to outweigh the guy I am with. My idea of attractive though is pretty mainstream. I like bigger, tall men with dark hair, light eyes and scruff.

I've never really been that into celebrities. Even when I was a teenager, a guy's personality had so much to do with whether I was attracted that all my crushes were people I knew in real life. Sometimes I'll think a particular star looks great in a movie as I'm watching it, but I never remember who it was later.

So I'll just include my all-time favorite, my DH. He's very anti-photo, so most of the pictures he lets me take of him alone are of him glaring at me or making ridiculous faces. Here's one of the rare good ones, where he's almost smiling and looking like himself.

I find all sorts of unconventional looks attractive. I'd say most of the guys you posted about I think are good looking. I've never really had a type exactly. I imagined myself with a guy with dark brown eyes and dark brown hair and I imagined having little dark headed children around me. Well, my hubby has dark hair and dark eyes but he doesn't look anything like that dream guy in my teenage head and those kids of mine have dark eyes but they don't have dark hair. LOL Truthfully, I never really considered my husband to be 'hot' or particularly good looking. I hate to admit that, but its true. I've been told he's pretty good looking but to me he's just Sean. Once I know a person I stop seeing their looks and they just 'are' to me. I knew him long before we ever dated so he by the time we got to that point he was off my radar as far as looks go, if that makes sense. When I first meet someone I sometimes think "that person is just striking" or "wow, he sure is good looking", etc. Once I get acquainted with them I find myself wondering what I thought was attractive in the first place because I no longer see it. I can pick out features that are pleasing to the eye but I don't look at the person as a whole the same way. I think its because the more I get to know people the more their personality gets intertwined with their looks to me and I stop seeing their physical side as much. I'm probably an odd duck though.
