hair help please.. (my sad sad hair :[ )

you're like stars
I have always had thick wavy hair, well i still do for the most part :p BUT.. my dear beloved meds have been making my hair fall out a bit. It's not super obvious (thank that thick hair) but my bangs are taking a beating. I've worn side swoopy bangs for a long while now and they're just.. dead. i've tried cutting them several different ways and nothing is working. I hate my forehead so i can't convince myself to just grow them out, but i've ended up pinning them to the sides of my head lately out of frustration. Those of you with thin/wispy-ish hair wth do you do? Are bangs just impossible ? Do you use lots of gunk in your hair ? is there a way to style them that will help ? Do you get them cut a certain way ?

thank you.. :[

LMAO...sorry I'm no help but anything's gotta be better than that, no?

LOL... my high school yearbook is FILLED with girls with that hair! In fact, if she had red hair, I'd swear it looked like my friend Jamie. :) Aqua Net was our must-have in our purses!

I've been where you are with my cancer meds. I had long, thick hair when I got sick and when it started falling out, I cut it short. What I did was have my bangs cut kinda choppy and at an angle, then used product to hold them in place, so it looked like they had that wispy thing happening on purpose. I have such a short forehead that I have to have bangs. It worked for me, maybe it will help you too. Run the idea past your hairdresser first, especially if you've been her client for a while. Mine was a huge help to me during the whole process.

lmao.. i actually like sat there and back brushed my bangs the other day... i promptly decided this was a bad plan for fixing the problem.

Nope, that looks like my friend Karen. She had huge hair like that and I envied her. I remember perming mine and teasing it up like that too. What were we thinking?

She could probably give you some good advice. What are brother's gfs for anyway. LOL

I have nothing to add as I haven't had bangs since I was about 10 cause I have lots of collics up front and they do not like bangs, but I have to stay that picture Traci posted was way funny.

How wavy is it and how willing are you to work on it? :p

My hair thinned considerably post-baby and due to lots of stress in our life, and I've been keeping it bang-free. I have it cut short (chin-length) with it slightly longer in front than in back and do the following after a shower so it's curly: put in this product, dampen a washcloth, scrunch my hair with the damp washcloth (so my oily hands don't touch it) and a blowdryer for 10-15 minutes, and hairspray it. I realize that sounds like a lot of work, but it really isn't and it stays curly all day long.
