What kind of tutorials would you like to see?

Someone said that other day that I should do one about using a brush to add a stroke to a path . . . doing text on a path would be very similar but different in some ways, too.

Anything specific? I use PSP and consider myself still learning most of the time-but if there is something specific I can see if I can help...

Photo Editing, I'd love to know how to use Julie's new paint backgrounds, extraction (i am pretty sure the way I do it is not the best way), how to best use the make over tools. Those are the ones I thought of right away.

I would love some insight into doing extractions. It's something I have never tried, but I am always in awe of Sheri's layouts!

I know I have thought of other things, but they are not coming to me at the moment...

ETA - I just looked and saw that Sheri already has a tutorial - not sure how I missed that!!

I use Lightroom for my photo editing-but I will mess around with some of those tools and see what I can do.

Yeah, I have been using PSE for mine, but I got a new computer and can't find the disc for it. So now all I have is PSP. Ugh.

I'm trying to conceptualize this, do you mean adding a stroke to a brush? Or do you mean converting a brush to a text path?

It's called Stroke Path With Brush. You draw a path and then you can choose any brush and stroke the path so that whatever brush you chose will go along the path with just one click. I use it mostly to add a line or a dotted line around a journaling card - not right on the edge of the card, but a little ways in. But, you could do a lot more creative things with it.

Not sure I explained it all that well. Pics in a tutorial would help it make a lot more sense. :)

Here is the extraction technique I use. You don't have to use a layer mask, but I like the flexibility it offers. Mari, I used to use PSP and it's fairly similar in that program. If I remember correctly, there is a similar tool that you can use. When I first converted to PS, I actually preferred PSP for extractions.

Thanks! I'll check it out. I do it now, but I know there has to be an easier, better way to do it. lol

This may be a really easy thing to do but someone mentioned that she has started to blend her text into the page to make it look more realistic. I'd be interested in learning how to do that. I hope it's not just lowering the opacity or I am going to feel really silly for asking!!!

I would love to learn how to make different shapes to be able to clip photos or papers to in PSE. Like a pennant, or heart, or even just irregular ones. I can make squares and circles, its just the more odd shapes that I don't know how to make.

I"ve enjoyed the turtorials in the portfolios. Like this months on Washi Tape! Wow. Loved that technique. I would've never even considered doing something if I hadn't seen that tutorial.

The main request I have is that somewhere on the site or forum there be a list of available tutorials with links. Sometimes I see a great tutorial, and then forget about it and want to try it again. That would be marvelous!

I use PSE so I always need something in PSE!

1. Editing photos to create effects/looks.

2. Shadowing unique items:
big chunky things (like rocks!, pony beads)
FLATish things like tape and bits of splatter (like glitter, paint blobs)

3. embossed looks with fonts

4. how to use elements that look like stamps, rub-ons, brush stroke alphas. These are NOT 'chunky' like a piece of chipboard.
