Dec 7- QotD- Candy Canes--- yuck or yum?

This is a yearly debate around my house. My guys all love candy canes, but yuck, not me. I can't stand them. I don't even like the smell of someone eating one. It's not that I don't like mint, I do, but not candy canes.

So, what are your feelings on this holiday "treat"?

I said Yum, but they are just okay. LOL I don't go buying them because I love them so much, but if I have one, I'll eat it.

I went with yum...but for me it has to be the Hershey's chocolate mint ones. I don't like plain ones, except to hang on my tree, lol

I also said Yum, but they are just okay. I don't like eating them plain (Cheyanne does though) but I do like to use them in hot cocoa and to make peppermint meringue cookies We always get one small box and hang them on the tree; when they're gone they're gone.

I said yuck because I don't like mint. The other flavors of candy canes are ok, but the traditional ones...blech.

LOVE anything peppermint... however, I don't run out to buy candy canes... haha! I did say Yum...

mmmmm. i love candy canes. mom hangs them on our tree, and she always buys an extra box for my brother's friend who lives with us, cause he LOVES them. we share the ones off the tree.

there's a grocery store chain out here that does candy cane oreos during the holidays, the cream has pieces of peppermint candy in it. OMG so good. i'm so buying some and dipping them in dark chocolate to give as christmas gifts.

I say yum but not peppermint as I do not like anything peppermint. I like the fruity flavored ones though. Like cherry, blue raspberry, strawberry, green apple. My sister bought me some bubble gum flavored candy canes which started out as candy but turned into bubble gum. Loved those but I do not know where to get them

I said Yuck because we don't like the peppermint ones and I assumed that was what the question was about.

However, we buy lots of the other flavored ones - Starburst, Jelly Belly, Skittles, Lifesavers, etc. and the boys love them.

I don't eat any of them. So yeah, Yuck.

I'm a candy cane purist. Why ruin a perfectly good seasonal treat with flavors other than peppermint?! That's what the other million different types of candy are for...

I like candy canes but only the peppermint ones. The flavored ones are not good in my experience, especially the Jolly Rancher ones. We put some on the tree but mostly I crush them up for peppermint bark & peppermint cocoa cookies

I say YUM! I love a plain peppermint but I also like a cherry one. But that's about it.

This is me. But I do love SOFT peppermints. and last year I made white chocolate peppermint popcorn and it was DELISH!
