Are you a Thread Killer? Let the Game Begin!

One of my friend's has a niece who is turning 11 on 11/11/11. How awesome is that?

I think I'm going to lay in bed and scrap for a little bit. :) One big upside to using a laptop.

By the way Donna, I am totally proud of you! Two weeks already!

Been doing this and that this morning. Nothing major. Gonna make some cookies and a craft with Maylee in a while. She's got school this afternoon, so I'll have a couple hours to myself later!

Jen, I am so happy for your blessing!

Hope you're all having a great 11.11.11!

Jen glad to hear your day is going well, sweetie.

Kate, ws expect to see some serious eye candy in your gallery on Monday, sista!

Donna, awesome job on the quitting smoking - that's so awesome!

Marla, I hope you get to scrap up a storm and we expect eye candy in your gallery on Monday, too!

Amanda, I love blustery days for photo shoots! The light is all diffused and colors pop - hope it went well for you!

For Donna and Jen, I truly loved all our Cindy pages we made, and I'm proud we all gave it a shot and tried.

Jen, it used to be a 50 minute flight to St. George, but now that they built a new airport, it's only 40 minutes (they can fit jets now vs. tiny Skywest prop planes). Yep, it's a puddle jump - but so much faster than a 5 hr drive! My parents had companion tickets that were about to expire, lol! Plus, you had a YW pinewood derby???? That would be soooo fun - what an awesome idea! I love that you know stuff about Utah :) you so have to let me know the next time you visit - so we can go to lunch! :)

Wait, there's a new airport??? holy whoa! Right now my next trip to Utah is next may, for my brother's graduation. We will definitely have to do lunch. Do you like Zupa's? I miss me some Zupa's. I mean, more places need to learn from them. All lunches should involve chocolate covered strawberries. A bowl of their tomato bisque soup sounds amazing for lunch....

You guys are making me jealous! Can you stop over in St. Louis on your way, Jen? Then we can go up to Iowa to see Marla. Then go get Andrea and then we all go down under to see Donna. I'm sure we can make any more stops on the way for any other threadkillers that wanna come.

Sounds like a plan. Let's do it XD

sounds fun to me, especially if we can hit up Donna in january while the weather is gorgeous. I've not been to STL in a long time, I want to get back that way someday soon.

Did you take a photo at 11:11? Oh wait, I think I'm the only one who has hit 11:11 yet, lol!

I ::love:: Zupas! It's one of my favs! I adore their salads and they even have caffeine free diet coke (my drink of choice - I get migraines if I drink caffeine or eat too much chocolate). Their chocolate covered strawberries are delish! How cool you're coming in May!!! Once you know your dates, please let me know, girlie! :)

Sounds AWESOME! :) The last time I was in St. Louis was when I was 16! We went up in the arch (and I felt so claustrophobic in that little thing that takes you up) but it was SO cool and I loved how the arch swayed in the wind! I think it's a cool city! :) I have never been to Iowa! And I would love to go down under - haven't been there since I was 8!

I didnt think of a pic at 11.11 am :( and now it's 12/11 9.45am so too late lol

My 4y/o has been growing like a weed, and growing out of her clothes - whenever we try something on that doesnt fit, she says 'oh well, you will have to give it to Adam (my sister's foster bubba) HAHAHAHAHA - that would be lovely but I dont think my sis want to dress Adam in skirts and pink shorts! :D

btw, my sister's name is Kate and she's a lovely scrapper too!!! (paper scrapper) Although we live so far away, we try and scrap together over the phone . . both of us with the earphones and sending MMS pics to eachother when we get stuck or just want show off hehe

Sounds fabulous, but I'm in Oklahoma. Lol. They grow lots of corn in Iowa, too.

I'm finished with my harvesting duties for the day and settled down for a little scrapping fun. Should be a relaxing evening.

Doh Marla! I knew that!

Donna, that's so sweet that you scrap with your sister over the phone! My sisters and I aren't very close...I've always wished we were closer. Oh, and today is DAY 14 aka 2 WEEKS for no smoking, right?! You are amazing! You're doing awesome!

Andrea, those little cab things that take you up into the arch are terrifying! They totally need to update those things.

Scrapping right now, scrapping more tonight, and scrapping more and more this weekend! My DH is being very understanding since I haven't been able to scrap for 2 weeks.

Just saw this - YAAAAY!!!!! I'm up for this!! Except January is hot and humid . . it's beautiful in March/April, perfect temperatures, low humidity, lovely breezes . .

I'm scrapping away with the 50 christmas kits I have now . . lol . . not that many, but I have a nice selection now. I'm doing Mum a book with all our Santa/Christmas pics from when we were kids

I have two sisters, (I'm the eldest) . . Kate is the youngest. Dont really get on with the middle one, for our whole lives it seems we've never really like eachother. Oh well. I wish it was different but I just dont really like her much. I can make an effort when we're all together the rare Christmases that it happens, but other than that we dont really talk.

and YEP 2 weeks, still struggling but its getting a little easier

I have not been participating in this thread, but I just want to say that you all AMAZE me for keeping it going this long. I wonder how many years this will continue! Keep up the good work, ladies!

It's totally easy. And these girls now seem like my buddies that I have to talk to everyday. I LOVE my threadkiller girls! :)

Yep, we just keep plugging away. At first, I really wanted to win, but now I totally forget that it's even a competition (I think Darcy's prolly forgotten about it too, cause she knows we'll never shut up). I just have to check up on my girls ;)

And, Lydia, did you cut your hair? Love your new avie, it's totally cute! :)
I love my threadkiller girls! :)

Sounds like a mammoth effort Jen!!

Does anyone even remember the first post in this thread?? . .

Are you a Thread Killer? Let the Game Begin!
I want to play a new game - and the loser wins!!!

We're going to have this thread - everyone posts to it. And once the thread goes dead for 3 full days from the last post (that's 72 hrs after the last post), that person wins a $5.00 GC to my store!

The rule: You may post whatever you'd like, but please make it count..not just 'bump' or 'i'm adding, etc.' Do a journaling quote, or a link to an awesome recipe, or something romantic your hubby did for you last week, etc.

Ready - Steady - GO!

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!! Darcy has created a monster! I dont think anyone's gonna see that GC!

I :wub:LOVE :wub:this thread, and I love that through it I have gotten to know some super-duper-fab scrappy chicks!

Feel better Kate!

The cinnamon rolls are delicious, but making that many is insane/

It was so cold last night, I don't think my heater turned off at all. ack.

Jen - 200 cinnamon rolls? Holy cow! What are they for? I wish you could send some my way, they sound delish!

Donna - keep it up, girlie! 2 weeks is AH-MAZING!

Kate - hugs sweetie, hope you have a better day. Know that your threadkiller friends are sending happy thoughts your way. :)

Lydia - you wear your new "do" well, sista, you look fab!

I just got back from taking my youngest son swimming, and I'm getting ready to go out to my fav lunch restaurant (well it's a tie with Zuppas), Paradise Bakery, with my dad to get a little dad/daughter time in before they move away for 4 months. (which btw, is making me sad imagining the holidays without them. we've always been together for the holidays all my life, but at the same time, I'm so excited for them to have this awesome opportunity).

Are you all scrapping tons? I have not made ONE page this week... Next week will be better! Although, I did bring my scrapping stuff and plan to try to make a page while I'm down here, we'll see...

Andrea, her church is having a social and needed baked goods...so we baked, lol! Paradise Bakery? Another nommalicious place to eat. All the good places are back home, lol.

I'm paper crafting. I am covered in paper punch scraps. 1/2 done....only 115 more strips to go

I left you love, Kate, it's an adorable layout, sweetie!

Jen, you're a saint to do all that baking! I'm so impressed!

So, we went to Paradise Bakery, which just opened up down here a few weeks ago, and guess how many people were in line????? 70 people!!!! To get fabulous chicken walnut salad sandwiches and amazing soup! So, my dad is not the wait-in-line for 50 minutes sort of guy, so we went to Cafe' Rio instead and I had a fresh mexi, sweet pork, to die for, salad. It was so yummy!

It's blue skies and sunny down here, coming in at 65 degrees, and at home, 5 hours North, it's a white out blizzard!!!!! ahhhh! I hope it stops snowing when we go home tomorrow! I didn't even bring a coat, we just have our hoodies! :)
