My paste-eating hat!!! :p

OMG! I placed an order last week with Scrapbook Pictures? and just received them today - my first digital layout prints EVER!

OMG! OMG! OMG!!

They are absolutely stunning! I am inpressed, very impressed.

Yipee!!!

I am soooooo done with paper and glue!

I have been wanting to try them and now I shall.....And a sale you say, YEAH!!!! I am so glad you are happy with your creations, so long paper & glue....try to break it to them gently, they seem to get hurt easily. Take it from me, my stash cries every time I go in the basement, they are all coughing and sneezing from the dust gathering on them :(

Welcome to the 100% digi side! LOL

I got rid of my ENTIRE scrap room in October and never have looked back! Got a pretty penny for all the stuff too.

OK, I am wanting to try this place because so many of you recommend it but I was also wondering if any of you have had 12 x 12 prints done through Costco Wholesale. It is only $2.99 there but if you can't pick them up the shipping is a bit more than the $2.00 flat rate over at Scrapbook Pictures...Just curious if anyone has done it there and what the quality is.

I did a bunch of 12x18 collages at Costco for a 60th birthday party last summer and found their quality really inconsistent. Even within one order. I printed up a couple at first to see how they'd look and was really happy, but after that they were all over the map.

I had all my backgrounds the exact same colour so it was really easy to pick up on the inconsistency. Now, when you looked at any one of them individually, they looked quite good, but side by side you could really see it. No big deal for a one night event where everyone had a drink or two before they looked at them anyway, lol, but if it was for a long-term keepsake I'd not be too happy.

To me Costco = okay in a pinch, but I'd never use them for anything that really matters.

Thanks for the info....It helps me out a lot....

How did you do it, e-bay, garage sale, HOW???? I am curious because I have SOOOOOOOO much stuff I will never use and really hate hanging on to it..

I have a friend in my church that scraps and she was in awe of all my stuff. I told her that I was going to list it all on Ebay and get rid of it, and she went home, talked to her DH and she came over with a cashier's check for $2000, so I sold it all to her.

Whoa, Paula, talk about serendipitous for you! That's awesome! The $2000, that is... although the 35 cents for 12x12s is pretty dang awesome too!

I should add about Costco that there does seem to be some that are better than others. If you Google I think you can find their colour profiles for each store and use those when preparing your layouts. That assumes that your monitor is calibrated, of course. When you're having them shipped, though, I'm not sure if you get a choice of which Costco they're printed at? Not sure.

Good points, I did not think of that......

Wow, I don't know that I have that much stuff, mostly paper and stamps. I would probably keep all the rest....

I personally love my costo printing....

I have heard that printing instore is better quality than having mailed to you...
but I would think it would all depend on the techs... the girls at my local costco have been there for quite a while and you do have to make sure you turn off the auto color thingy they have (so they don't adjust the colors on your layouts)

I think it is all a matter of preference... I"ve got a large handful of people I know that have had trouble w/ the color issues from scrapbook pictures too...

Isn't it fun to see them printed!!!? I just printed my first round last month during their sale and I was really happy with them. A few of the layouts had some wonky colors going on, but I think that was my laptop and had nothing to do with them. It's so nice to have actual albums.

I'm a demonstrator with Stampin' Up! so I've got quite the collection of goodies!! I'm giving it up though, so as soon as my demonstrator-ship runs out, I'm off to eBay! I sold 11 of my retired sets a month ago or so and made a nice penny for them too.

I might (might) keep some paper and definitely my ribbons, but everything else - bye bye!!
