When do your kids get done school?

ours get out june 8th and go back around august 21st I think...Id have to check the school website to be sure what teh actual date is
 
My son's done June 17th and they go back the last week in August. We don't get a very long summer vacation, but we have lots of week long vacations throughout the school year, pretty much one every two months.
 
Ours is June 9th and they go back Aug 22nd. I would love for him to go after Labor Day instead of August. Although come August I may change my mind after having him home all day every day LOL!
 
Today. They'll go back middle of August. I'd really rather they go a few more weeks and start later. It's sooo hot here in August and they go outside for recess. :(
 
We are out Friday...well really Thursday because Friday they are supposed to have waterslides and jumpers at school but it's supposed to rain all week so the plans may have to change...
 
Stacey, what part of VA are you from cause where I grew up in VA we NEVER went back before Labor day...I guess the times are a changing!!! of Coarse we didn't graduate until June16th either!
 
Last day of school is June 15th, and its a half day. We go back Aug 29th, though the parent teacher stuff starts the week before. I find that basically it all starts the third week of Aug. So we get off two months. The rest of the off base schools go year round though. :)

I'm in Northern VA, and we still go back the day after Labor Day.
 
I'm in central Virginia, around Charlottesville. I've lived here 16 years, but only paid attention to the school schedule the last 8-10 or so. They might have been going back after Labor Day 10 years ago when I first started needing to be aware of it for doing scheduling at my job (lots of teens worked summer & holidays there), but I know the last 7-8 years it has been the week before or even two weeks before for Greene, Albemarle, Madison & Culpeper, plus Orange & Rappahannock some of the time.

There started to be a lot more single days off for various teacher work/training things around that time & I think they start earlier to make up for them & something to do with snow days as well.
