ok who uses CS3?

I need opinions :D

I've been considering buying CS3 for a bit now.. but I'm just not sure. I run CS now lol so I 'm pretty behind the times..
When I was @ the clingermans last year I used Shawna's CS2.. tbh there were a few things I wasn't really thrilled with- but I'm assuming it's just because I wasn't use to it. Is CS3 really worth it? Should I just upgrade to cs2 and call it a day? Granted.. I'll have to FIND cs2 :D it seems most stores around here are snobby and only want to carry cs3 (LOL).

She moved it after she posted that she posted in the wrong forum. It was originally in the new product announcements.

And for you La, I use 2 so I can't help :p Sorry!

I use CS3. I went from PS7 to CS2, so I'm not familiar with what CS2 has that CS doesn't.

From what I'm told by a photographer friend, the difference are really on the photography side, so you might not see them as much in designing. I notice that I am happier with CS3 when working with RAW images and the settings when I'm processing a batch of photos.

I'm in graphic design also and there are things I like about CS3, but they are small thing, like images opening properly (not behind toolbars and palettes) and being able to collapse the right side toolbar. I've been away from PS7 for almost 2 years now, and it's actually hard to remember exactly what was different when I switched... LOL!

These things, are why I was happy I switched LOL. I know it sounds stupid, but the part about the images openind up NOT behind the toolbars is great LOL

LMAO... They are why we both switched Jamie! I'm just saying that since it is costly to switch that some people might want more features. Not everyone is crazy like you and I!

I have had CS2 and CS3 and the biggest difference you will find is the user interface, one you get used to it the docking palettes are nice, but at first they drove me a bit batty! LOL! Also the RAW and photo editing capabilities in CS3 are a huge improvement. Thats pretty much the differences that you will notice.

I don't know the difference between 2 or 3 since I only use PSE5 but Adobe has CS3 on sale for $299 until the 29th!

I have CS2....wishing for CS3 for the RAW editing capabilities. I'd say if you're going to upgrade, just bump to CS3 instead of 2. :)

And here I thought I was the only one that employed the "might as well" philosophy, :D

Jordan does too, which is why he wants to get a $2000 DSLR when he doesn't even take our pictures!

LOL- well, I'd be in the camp of wanting a $2000 camera too! LOL I have an XT, but really want a 5D....no 40D for me, just bump it up!! :)

I just think I should make the decision, since I'm the one that takes pictures, lol. He gave his P&S to his sister cuz he neeeeeever uses it. We went on vacation and he didn't even bring it, lol.

Hopefully soon I can shop for real and stop browsing. I want to see if he'll let me use the tax return for an SLR :)

Funny you should ask La. I just installed PS CS3 yesterday (I've been using CS2 for ages now). I've had it since the summer and just kept putting it off! So far the only difference I've noticed is the interface and a few new menu items. I say go all the way to CS3 if you are upgrading. :)

thanks girlies :) I don't have a spiffy camera so all that RAW stuff is useless to me :D Traci showed me the new interface stuff... Still thinking on it :D :D
