of course it says it is... I googled.. and there were a bunch of these faceless things LOL.. why don't they have faces?! :D :D

hey, don't you go knocking my faceless dust catchers! :p I have 6 of them all given to me when my husband has no idea whatelse to get me. LOL I actually really like them and they just sit across my fireplace mantle.

Okay, so what prompted this question??

Wow - never seen those before. The only figurines I had were Precious Moments figurines. Then most of them I just let my sister sell them lol.

I have that one in the first post... my dh got it for me as a Mother's Day gift when my youngest was about the size of the baby. So it always makes me think of me holding my two kids. Aww, sniff, sniff. We have another family one with a mom dad and 2 kids that was a gift from some friends. It's like a plaque.

I think they're faceless because they're in disguise and are ready to rob our homes at any minute.

Oh I love these! I have a bunch and my husband usually gets me one each Christmas. I actually like that they are faceless... LOL!

Yes, that is them. I have a few, I kinda like them, but I like the ones I have more for the sentimental value they have. I got a couple from the girls I coach as thank you gifts, etc.

I had never heard of them until we rec'd this one as a baby gift:

My dh and I really loved it and thought it fit the stage of life we were (and are) in. I don't think I realized there were more until a few months ago LOL. I kind of like them with no faces. Better no face than a weird face. :p

I have these too as wedding gifts. I think they are faceless making them generic. It lets you focus on the big picture, the message it conveys than the actual physical appearance. Plus I think these days of having a racial concious soceity, they will have to create faces that best suit each major etnicity around and that will take too much space at the stores LOL!

Yeah, they occasionally creep me out.... I have pregnant one on my vanity and it still hasn't given birth after 2.5 years.
How will I ever get my collection growing if she doesn't get started? :w00t:

Bwahahahaha! Too funny! I respect everyone's right to what they think is beautiful art but I'm with La on this one...not my cup of tea :-)

I'm pretty indifferent on them. And I'm sure we'll get one when we get married, lol. They are hugely popular to give as gifts. I think there's one with a doggy...that one might not be so bad. :p

ITA! I have a couple of these - the embracing couple that I LOVE and an autumn angel. I also have the Nativity, which is beautiful, imo. :) I really like their simple style, and they go well with my decor.

We got that as a gift when I had K, I looooove it :)

Hey I don't have that one!

I love them and a girlfriend of mine actually does paintings that are based on these. I actually like that they don't have faces...sometimes faces can be spooky. hehe
