Speaking of Christmas Day

What do you guys make for snacky foods? I think I like that idea better than having to make breakfast, lunch and dinner.

This will be the first year I'm planning to do finger foods. We are planning little smokies sausages in the crockpot with bbq sauce - Tim and the kids love this, polish roses, cheese and crackers, cheese balls, veggie & fruit trays. Feels kind of boring :/. I'm curious to see what other people do!

I'm still going to try and do dinner I think though. I can't imagine not having turkey!

we always did (when we were kids...and i have sooo many happy memories of this) boiled salami and crackers, cheese and crackers, a cheese ball, and lots and lots of sugar cookies (with homemade frosting). My mom usually made bagna calda and we ALL loved that.

We do sausage balls, spinach dip, a cheese tray with crackers, a fruit tray with fruit dip, and usually a veggie tray with veggie dip. Then we also have a cheese ball (I have one uncle who's like, addicted to those) and sugar cookies.

does anybody have a good breakfast casserole recipe? I would like to do up something that I could keep in the fridge and then just pop in the oven on XMAS morning when we get up...

I think I need educating - what's a cheese ball? ...and please can you link me up to a recipe so I can see it??

& Tabatha? Can you tell me how you make the sausages in bbq sauce - sounds good :)

we will have a regular breakfast probably eggs or homemade waffles.

dinner is apps only. so far the list is...
homemade salsa and guacamole with chips
shrimp cocktail over cream cheese served on crackers
cheese fondue
pigs in a blanket
terry's famous hot wings (we'll do teriyaki for the kids too.)
cheese and crackers
crudite

and my sister is bringing a couple also
