If you were cheering for the Giants

bwahahahaha! Go GIANTS!!! First time in years that my mom and I were rooting for the same team! And best game in years!

I was "cheering" for the New England team for the sole reason that I love the Family Guy and just saw the episode where Peter joins that team :p
Apart from that, I have no idea about gridiron and have never even watched a game! LOL I just heard them mention who the 2 teams were on the news this morning... I'm sure it will be on TV later tonight (Its Monday afternoon ATM) but I wont be watching it hahahaha
 
I was cheering for a good game... and boy was it an AWESOME game!! I never thought Eli had a chance, so I am stunned but very happy for him. It is cool that Payton and Eli won this back to back!

I am usually all for the underdogs but I knew if I rooted for the Giants Meg would kick my butt...so I let Zak do the cheering and I stayed nuetral!
 
I wasn't cheering for either team. I just wanted to win in our pool - which I didn't. However, don't flame me but to me it was the most boring super bowl that I have ever watched.... especially with only 2 possessions in the first quarter.
 
I thought it was an awesome game..just too bad my team ended up on the losing end of it. It's ok though DH's team didn't even make it to the bowl (or playoffs that I know of--I don't keep up w/them lol) so I can still brag about my Pats for a bit!

Hubby is ill as a wet hen because he was pulling for the Patriots. So I suppose that makes me still your friend :thumbup:
 
I was cheering for the Giants. Not because I like the Giants..on the contrary, I think Eli Manning is a punk, but because my beloved Tom Brady (who has become less and less attractive to me since Gisele, btw) is QB for a team who crushed my husband's heart and soul, by eliminating the San Diego Chargers 2 weeks ago. Also...the Pats cheat. :) Take that LA!
 
I am a underdog cheerleader too and my wanting the Giants to win was purely for selfish reasons.....I just wish the Giants would have beaten those Pats as bad as my beloved Bears did back in 85' hee hee hee hee hee hee hee......Please don't hate me ;)
 
My husband told me last night that there should be lots of happy Bears fans because if the Pats would have won they would have broken the Bears '85 undefeated season. He also said that the Bears had to work a lot harder for that season then the Pats did this year.
I'm not sure about all that, but it was interesting.
 
That is very interesting and quite true too!!!! They did work hard and deserved to win that game back in 85, too bad they could not pull it off last year too but I think it is kinda cool having the brothers win back to back!!!
 
I am so happy to see this thread! I think I would have thrown up if it was another Go Giants thread! I don't watch football but I still wanted to see the Pats win for two reasons...

And what kind of stand up guys were they? After the game they had nothing but nice words about the Giants even tho before the game all the Giants could do was diss us!

I think a lot of people don't like Tom Brady because of the whole Gisel story but no one nows the whole story and Bridgette and he broke up BEFORE she found out she was pregnant. What good would it do to get back together just because you are having a baby? And what the heck, what guy is gonna pass up a Supermodel? Come on, he's a guy, no one would give him a hard time about it if he was a nobody.

OK, off my soapbox now!

Well, Jackson wanted the Giants to win...He thought it was a super-cool team name, LOL. I wanted a good game, and it was fantastic! It was an amazing game to watch!

whoo hoo!!! Yay Giants!! normally, we are HUGE Colts fans and HATE the Patriots, so it was only natural that we root for the Giants and Peyton's little brother. it is SO cool that they won it back to back!!
 
Tony isn't too pleased LOL! But I was honestly stunned, the Giants had amazing defense in this game. It was a great game IMO, I just LOVE football. Maybe next year MY team will make the playoffs. Or win more than one game for that matter LOL

lol I don't care about all that hoopla. It's football- that's all. Who cares. I'm a NE girl and will always cheer the patriots. :D We Patriots fans seem to be in the minority amongst the women of the world lately LOL.
 
We're totally not friends anymore, cuz I've been a Giants fan my whole life!

We beat them fair and square. 18-1 doesn't mean anything ;)
