Hey Hey Sweet Shoppers! Today (10/2) is World Card Making Day and to celebrate, Julie is giving away this fantastic card template as a freebie!

I have 2 samples that I made, but after being unexpectedly without internet I don't have the photos ready to show you all. I promise I'll get them up tomorrow morning! :)

Now to make this a little bit more fun, we're going to have a hybrid card contest! I want to see some gorgeous new hybrid cards that you whip up between now and sunday night at midnight (EST). One random winner will be chosen to win a $10 coupon to Julie's store! You don't have to use the template to be entered into the drawing, but you do have to share a new card that's never been in the galleries before. Just post here in the thread with an image and a link to the gallery page so we can all leave each other some lovin'! :)

Have fun with this, I can't wait to see what you all whip up!

Thanks, Julie and Colleen! I love the style of this instead of the plain folded cards I usually make. Perfect timing, too, since next weekend is my sister's wedding and DS's birthday.
 
I'm loving this template as well! So far I've made 4 cards, will post as soon as I make some photo documentation. :-)

Can we include one we made on October 1st? I had to get a card in the mail real quick for my mom's birthday (although belated)....I loved this sterling silver charm ... it's a family charm (one heart for each child in the family) and bought it to send to my mom.

I will try it out ... hopefully by your deadline ... we're literally on the road at this moment (of typing) towards home ... so will be in this evening ... and then off to the Kansas Speedway Sunday morning for the NASCAR race (which I have to unload/rename/organize literally hundreds of pictures off the memory card first) ...
 
Love all the examples - can't wait to see some more :) Sara is that my font you used on your example? That was really spooky as I'm scrolling down and suddenly see 'my' writing :p
 
I'm glad you all are liking the template! What you see is the first ever card that I made, so I promise it is SUPER EASY! And all you need is a kit, one piece of photo paper or cardstock, a printer, and a little piece of ribbon. Easy peasy! Or be awesome like Col and don't even use ribbon! Those are great cards, Col!

I have a card coming after bedtime tonight. I didn't use the template for this one, but I KNOW it'll get some use in the very near future!

I already had some digital papers printed, so I had to put them to use... Great challenge, and thanks for the template! I will have to revisit that soon!

Im so glad that I saw this thread now because Im in the process of making a card for a baby shower tomorrow! And I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this template! Thank you so much!

what a great template! I am bummed I didn't see this challenge earlier as I am totally out of ink and it is too late to get something printed at staples tonight! Can't wait to use the template though and I think it will work great for the portfolio challenge this month!
