They're making a movie about The Pioneer Woman...

Yes, Ree blogged about it. It's only been picked up as an option. The movie would be based on the book, which she hasn't even finished writing (due out next February).

Also? I don't like Reese as the choice to play her, lol.
 
I think Sandra Bullock would be better. But really, I'm not even sure who could play Ree. Of course, she has to finish writing the book first. :D
 
I would expect more of the Julia Roberts type, but I think since its based on the book she's a lot younger, so I think Reese will be a good fit.
 
Debra Messing would have been a GREAT choice.

I can totally see this as being a movie, but I agree with the correlation between Reece & being like a sequel to Sweet Home Alabama.

I love Reese but Im not sure what exactly Pioneer Woman does aside from the cooking/recipes. I do love some of her recipes so Ive checked out her blog a few times for them but Im not a fauthful reader.
 
Ahhh! I love Ree! But I am with all of you about Reese Witherspoon, I love her but am not sure she is Ree material. :)
 
I think Matthew McConaughey would be a great Marlboro Man, even though he doesn't really look like him.

I wonder what color hair MM had before it was gray...I'm trying to think of actors with blue eyes and I'm drawing a blank... :blink:

Have you read their love story? How she was living the city life and got side tracked by this cowboy. Totally will consume your time for the next few days if you haven't read that part of her blog.

Who would you pick for Marlboro Man? I'd totally go Brad Pitt but that is just because I think he is the hottest and most versatile actor in Hollywood, not necessarily because he's who I picture as MM.
 
She's still living quite a life. How much was that lodge remodel? :D

It's not like she gave it all up for a life of poverty. LOL

I loooove her recipes, though. Every single one I've made has been a HUGE hit.
 
I think Reese would be awesome! She's pretty versatile (Legally Blonde vs. Walk the Line is what comes to mind).

As for MM, it would need to be someone rugged and HOT. I think Brad Pitt is a little too clean cut.
 
Oh man, a silver-haired Matthew McConaughey......be still my heart! I LOVE Matthew Mc.

And MM had grey hair as a younger man, so dying it on a younger actor would be better/more accurate in my mind.

Ty Murry is cute to look at but that boy CAN NOT act - It would be PAINFUL to watch!!!! I :wub: Reese ~ She rocks - Matthew is ok - but not cowboy enough.. Need a real cowboy.... Hmmmm
 
I had a thought on whould should play MM..tonite while watching 24 my dh said doesn't the guy that plays Tarin Farouush looks like David James Elliot from JAG (which btw I don't thik so..maybe a much younger version)..and I was like oh he'd be great for a movie role in the making!
