I just saw today somewhere else a "duct tape alpha" ... but it was many layers and curled and just "too busy" for my taste.

I searched the store and didn't find one sold separately ... is there a kit that I perhaps missed that has a duct tape alpha in it? ...if not, would a designer consider making one?

Here are my possible uses for a duct tape alpha:

1) Robotics (oh I bet that wasn't a surprise) :p
2) Home improvement
3) Kid craft projects
4) Car/mechanic related
5) Small engine repair (son is in this class in school & repairs motors i.e. lawnmowers)
6) Pics of my dh's workshop
7) Make KC (Make Magazine local chapter) ... my teens make things like lighting projects, and such.
8) Oh did I mention the 4 GB of Robotic pics I took last weekend would work for this type of alpha? ;)

If one is not available, would a designer consider making one? Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee???

shawna had one in our extreme collection- it was sold seperately.. I don't have the preview, cause I'm a delete-aholic, but I bet she does & I'd bet she'd be willing to sell it to you directly

LOL What if MacGyver was your favorite show in the 80s...that would be a possible use too.

And yes I know that was totally random.

shawna just dug up the preview (this is just a screen shot-- obv there are two alphas on there LOL.. )

dude...MacGyver was one of the best shows int he 80's :) He could make anything from nothing!!!!!

I never watched MacGyver ... what was it about? Do I want to add it to my Neflix?

Sharon I think you would love MacGyver with the whole robotics and building things and stuff that you guys are into. Its a majorly cheesy 80ies show, but it was AWESOME when it was out back then

I can probably find that alpha and repackage it if you guys would be into it :)

I definitely would be into it! Thank you!

dh just announced he is building a workshop today ... so I went downstairs to take initial pictures ... and I can soooooooo use it for robotics layouts ... our robot had duct tape ON IT. lol

Sounds interesting ... will add it to my Netflix queue then ... guessing it is ok for my teens (immature kids when it comes to "relationships" and such) to watch? If not, will watch when they are occupied. lol

I can't believe you have never seen macgyver sharon LOL

Was it during the time that M*A*S*H was on the air? ...and Chips and Emergency and Knight Rider? If so, that is what I was watching then...they all had very interesting actors. wink wink say no more. ;)

it was about the same time frame!!!! and your kids might like it...it's kinda cheesy, but fun to watch!!!

MacGyver is very clean Sharon. Each episode he's in some sort of situation, sometimes with a woman, but its about how they get out of the situations more than anything. We have all the seasons (DH loves the show), and only a handful of them have anything remotely romantic in them. Usually when he does kiss someone, its pretty tame. You should be safe :).

That means a lot that you let me know this. Even a simple kiss makes the 14yo cringe and look away. ...so he doesn't enjoy a show if it has a LOT of kissing ... just not comfortable watching it. Heck if dh and I kiss, he looks away. ...but he sure gives a heck of a bear hug! :hugs:

I was a teen when it came on the air and we watched it as a family. It's totally worth checking out, the big thing the show is famous for was MacGyver getting out of tough situations with whatever random pieces of stuff he had on him or were laying around the room.
