did you guys get a weird email from scrapping simply?

This was several days ago - or maybe a week,I got a strange email from scrapping simply - the site that prints layouts I think- from somebody that sounded like she got fired from there? Did you guys get that? I thought it was really odd.
 
I did but I didn't even read it. I hardly ever read mail or newsletters anymore. I wish I had cuz now I'm curious on what it was about! lol!
 
Yeah, I did... come to think about it... I didn't understand what it was about, so I deleted it...
 
I also got it. I am thinking disgruntled employee. Since I know NO details at all it is hard for me to judge who was right or wrong. *shrug*
 
Here's what I got:

"Dear Scrapping Friend

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through this place, not a creature was stirring, only me.

After much thought and careful consideration I feel compelled to write you this short note of heartfelt thanks coupled with some very unfortunate news.
First, I would like to express how blessed I feel to have worked with you. I feel like I know most of you personally as we have had countless conversations. For the past year I have worked tirelessly to make sure that all of your needs were fulfilled.
Unfortunately, I will no longer be affiliated with Scrapping Simply. Despite my unexplained termination, I want all of you to know that building this company from the ground up was an incredibly rewarding experience and I am proud of what I have been able to accomplish. It is my hope to be able to use this experience to continue my endeavors in this field.
Please know that when your issues are not addressed in a timely manner, I wish I were still able to help you!
It has been a joy working with you.

ok - just curious what the deal was! I thought maybe I missed a conversation about it when I was out with the babies.

I found it a little disconcerting and was surprised no one from the company sent a follow up note - saying - hey, yeah, sorry about that weird note. Anyway....guess I'll find out soon if anything has changed, I have a bunch of layouts to print. :)
 
I hope it works for you Emmy, I was planning to order some prints soon myself. Waiting to see if they have any sales but it seems unlikely so I'll go ahead and order I think. They are still cheaper than Costco.
 
I thought it was odd, too.

I think they should be up for a sale in February, maybe? I think they do their big sale twice a year, and the last one was in August, right?
 
I read that too and thought hmm, that was strange. Glad I wasn't the only one who got it! I hit delete right away after reading it and didn't give it a second thought! :blink:
 
I remember a thread at DST a week or two ago that read very similarly to this, except the lady put it a bit more harshly than above.
 
I got two notes from Chari - the one mass email you posted as well as a personal note - since we've worked together on a few projects.

I'm still not clear on the details, but I believe it was just not a supportive working environment and she decided to leave. Scrapping Simply is just one arm of a much larger business - a photo lab and camera store. Chari was the key link between our community and the business, helping to build and maintain relationships.
 
I had a few queries which I emailed them not too long ago and Chari replied very quickly, so that was how I knew who the email came from but it was strange that she sent it out to all their customer base. I'm in Australia and we can't get 12x12 layouts printed here and I'd seen some talk about this site around digi-land so hope it all works out for Chari and they still maintain a great service.

Hey thanks guys!! I love you all, and thats why I am so passionate about everything! This little digi bubble is my social life! I hope my email didn't come across harsh. I actually was contracted an owner of scrappingsimply and I worked my tail off to make sure it grew, ran smoothly and that you all were always happy with your prints! I know how much time goes into these babies!
Unfortunately, it all came to a halt after the checkout system shut down due a to server upgrade and the owner not giving a %#%^. I will leave it at that.
It was kinda the last straw, and then he quickly shut down my email after i blew up.. (must have been one of those days!) So, to make a long story short, I felt like there are so many of you that were maybe waiting a response from me, or were wondering why your email was getting kicked back to you. Sending out my email was the fastest way to let you know that I am still alive! Sorry for the Drama! I hate Drama. I am set up with a Pro Lab to get going on your printing again. I love your inspiration and I really care for all of you... especially the ones I have gotten to know personally! Drop me a line on my family Blog & say hi sometime!
