Anybody ever attended CKC?

I'm thinking about doing the one in Tulsa August 20-21. Anybody wanna join me?

Anybody ever done one before and think it would be worth the money or do you think I might die of shock if I had to scrap without my clipping mask and undo button?

I went to one two years ago and I LOVED it. Of course I was not digi then, I was all paper. But I say it is worth it- it was wonderful! You can always sign up for courses that do mini-albums and stuff- I bet you would have great fun! If I lived closer to Tulsa, I would so meet you there! :)

No, but I have done a CPR (Creative Photography Retreat). Those are awesome!! Classes by Jessica Sprague, Renee Pearson. They are all so nice in person. Ali Edwards was supposed to come, but she was pregnant at the time and needed to take it easy. I learned so much. Tons of freebies from sponsors too! I totally recommend it!

I went to the one in Seattle about 5 years ago and LOVED it...my sister flew out and stayed with me......

I did CPR, too! I would TOTALLY hold out for that. I LOVED It!! I learned so much about photography and how to edit photos. I'm not even tempted to go into a scrapbook store anymore though...which is saying a lot!!

oh it's SO much fun Kellie!!!

i did the CKU in Boston a few years ago and then did the CKC in New Hampshire after that. I actually preferred the CKC cuz it was less overwhelming to me.

have fun!

I have been to several here in Arizona (mainly when I paper-scrapped). Where I am at now with scrapping, I wouldn't pay to go to another one. Maybe it is just the classes I signed up for...but I felt like most of it was stuff I already knew how to do or I made projects and pages that I never ended up using. I didn't feel like I was learning anything. I did take a few digital classes when they offered them, and I loved those, but I don't think they offer them any more. And it was kind of pointless for me to go to the vendor fair, when I don't buy and scrap with paper any more. Just my 2 cents.

That would be great...except the part where I could actually buy a DSLR for the cost of the retreat. :( Sadly, I cannot afford to buy both this summer.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I'm leaning towards saving my money for other things. I just saw that Kelly Purkey is going to be there and I was temporarily star struck.
