Does anyone know where I can find tutorials on how to use Adobe Lightroom? I just installed the 30 day trial and I've been playing around with it a bit on my own and am loving it!

But I really want to get into the program and really learn what everything does and how to enhance my photos properly, instead of just pushing buttons, kwim? Any tips?

I have a feeling that I'm going to get addicted to this program and then have to shell out the $300 for it... yikes!
 
my biggest tip is to work from the top down...

I'll have to look but I think the tutorials I used were from Adobe

Also the Lightroom 2 book is fantastical. I really need to sit down with again because a year later, I KNOW I'm not using it to it's full potential.
 
Thats so funny you asked that - My friend gail and I were just talking about lightroom classes this morning -
I thought when I started this whole graphics design program and HAD to take all the photography classes that they would cover lightroom - they don't even use it at all!!! She said that www.creativetechs.com this was a GREAT site and they had some awesome classes! I was just looking into it -
 
You girls know that you can download the Beta version of Lightroom for free and use it till April this year?
 
I like the Killer Tips site, it has a lot of information. I have Scott Kelby's Lightroom 2 book as well & it has been incredibly useful
 
If you are a visual learner then http://www.kelbytraining.com/ is great. It is video tutorials that walk you through lightroom beginning to end. It is done by Matt Kloskowski, which is the guy that does the Lightroom Killer Tips site. It is a paid site but very much worth the money. I have just finished the whole first series and learned a ton. I have heard the Lightroom book is great also but I am a visual person and I like that I can see him do every step that he is talking about.

What??? Really? Where do I go to find the Beta version? I went to the Adobe site and they only had the buy it now option or the 30 day trial from what I could see. Maybe I should go look again!
 
You mean Adobe Lightroom does more than Presets?? :p

I'm super lazy...or rather, I'm super EFFICIENT...I buy lighroom presets and scan through them until I find the perfect one for my photo! takes 5 minutes and my photos are awesome!

I supposed it would be good to know what else I'm missing though....going to have to check out these sites!

The import screen is different...and awesome! You can view thumbnails of the photos before you import them now. I love being able to pick which images I upload, saves me so much hard drive space.

I have LR2 and I am able to view my pictures to pick and choose before I import them. I was able to do it LR1 also when I had that.
