Does your robot play soccer? ISO kits

Well I just watched the US FIRST Robotics 2010 challenge ... I'm going to need a Robot kicking soccer ball kit! :D

Ok please link me up to your SOCCER layouts with SSD kits ... and if you have any robots in those particular kits ... YOU KNOW I will BUY IT. ha ha

I've never had a kid on a soccer team ... but now we'll have a robot playing on a soccer team to scrap. :p
 
OMG that is tough. My daughter did one year robotics in middle school. Nothing as complicated as what your boys do though. She did a similar thing to this...only not with a soccer ball LOL and their field was like 12 feet long by maybe 6 feet wide. They had to take a ball similar to a ping-pong and make it into the goal on the other teams side. She made zero goals. She had fun though and it was not a really structured thing where there were prizes or anything
 
No one else has robots, or even kids, that play soccer? ... would love to see your layouts so I can pick out one or more kits! Thanks!
 
Has anyone done layouts with Libby's soccer kit?

When is soccer season (or is there a specific season?)

Are there any new soccer kits in the works?

You know...I don't make up these challenges for the robots ... we just build the robots to go with the challenges ... so you NEVER KNOW what they will dream up next ... and yes, it could be a monkey robot dressed up like freddie mercury, flying a kite while on stilts kit!!

However...we HAVE seen the BEST Robotics TEASER for 2010 (September) ... and hmmmm looks very very interesting! We did some stop action screen shots trying to figure it out ... got any ideas what we might be in for next Fall??? ...didn't see any monkeys ... unless maybe football players are monkeys ..??? hee hee Here is the teaser for this Fall...

LOL I guess ... it's an interesting video that is for sure ... looks like they are going off to college ... but then those "graphs" that flash at you for a second appear to be "production" related ... so really baffled about what this challenge could entail.

....surely it can't be harder than the one we just had where we had to collect elements to create "fuels" and the scoring was done in Base 4?? :confused:
