Every now and then when getting change I get Canadian coins mixed in with the change. If I try to spend it though the person taking the money always seems to catch me giving it to them. So what do you do with the coins once you have them?

nothing.. lol. they sit in my house forever. It's really annoying :p cause it's always like the quarter ones- which I can't use in the washer/dryer.

LOL I know....that is what I have too. And it annoys me because I know where it came from but they wont take it back now.

i guess they gotta pass em on huh? Makes me wonder if they get our coins up in Canada and are like WTH what am I supposed to do with an American quarter :p

if y'all are ever at a big intl airport (atl, jfk, lax, etc) there's a money exchange there where you can exchange the canadian for us coins..won't be much haha but they do have one there.

Probably one at the Orlando International Airport then...it is pretty large. We get to go pick up my in-laws when they fly to Maryland/New Jersey so maybe Ill try to remember to take them with me

I don't know if it is still true but my family got some Canadian quarters to work in some of the older vending machines.

lol, here in Canada we just use your coins like they're ours... with the exchange rate what it is right now they're nearly the same value anyways. So we're not picky :p

most of the time it wont go through the vending machines. I can sometimes sneak it by a cashier but most times they catch it and hand it back. I checked the exchange rate and it said that a Canadian quarter would give you like 24.6 cents in American and a dollar would be like 96 cents so not far off
