Seriously?! You want me to go outside?!?!

Okay - EVERYONE knows I'm a cold wimp. I hate being cold...despise it. It's 26F right now in my neck of the woods, and won't get any warmer, and the windchill is at about 14. It's only going to get worse.

(not so)DH is home sick from work today.....and wants a cheeseburger for lunch :(

Can't we call for delivery!? Please?! Really - a cheeseburger is really going to help you feel better? Aww crap.

(and yes, from the man who has lost so much weight this last year, a cheeseburger can make him feel better since he rarely eats them anymore).

As a loving wife (begrudingly so at the moment), I'm going. But you better break out the blankets and space heater and someone better buy me a snuggie...I'm going to be a frozen popsicle when I get home..cause I'm that big of a wimp :P

Awww, what a good wifey you are Darcy! I would tell my DH he gets soup if he's sick. LOL!!!

I hope you don't get too cold venturing out!

I feel your pain. I'm exactly the same. and I'm just glad I don't have kids in school yet (although it's cancelled today anyway). In fact, I desparately need some fabric and batting to finish a quilt and my sweet, wonderful, loving husband is going to pick some up on the way home from so I don't have to go out!

it's FREEZING!

LOL Darcy...sounds toasty warm  NOt looking forward to the next 48 36-48 hours...we're supposed to get to stay between 3 and 15 degrees, and we've been having some 40mph wind gusts. Blech.

I'm a wimp too, but if I didn't have to get out of the car, it might be ok. I'd put my UGG's on, get my seat heater warming in my car, and put a warm coat on. I know it's easy for me to say....it's about 60 here right now....might make it to 70 today!

I'm having to get out and I don't want to!!!!!!!!! We had more snow and it's supposed to be like 20-30 degrees BELOW zero windchill the next couple of days ... Saturday's high is supposed to be 0 (not counting windchill). Public school is cancelled for 3 days (that hasn't happened I don't think since 2002 ice storm) ... although ds has to go to college tonight.

MIL passed away on Monday ... the visitation is tonight and I can't stand the thought of 3 hours standing in a funeral home (I cry easily at these things...with headaches that follow) so I offered to watch their house instead ... so dh will go with all his siblings and father.

Tomorrow is a church service with a dinner afterwards ... and Saturday is a private ceremony at the cemetary ... inside because of the windchill. so brrrrrrrrrrrrrr I am not going to be warm for days!!

We got a couple more inches of snow last night and fil's street has not been plowed yet so hoping we don't get stuck!

Send me good vibes and prayers ladies that I am able to deal with 3 days worth of funeral things ... I don't do well at ones where there is only ONE service and the family has it for 3 days straight!!

I don't blame you Darcy! It's FREEZING here - 2 degrees with a windchill of -16. And the wind is howling. Blizzard conditions. I'm certainly not going anywhere!

Sharon - so sorry for your loss. Sending positive vibes your way!

How did you do Darcy? Did you head out?

I went out and it was almost 80 outside today. I'd rather have it be about 60 so I could be a little bit chilly and have it feel like it's winter!

Darcy, I'm with you! This is just crazy for Dallas. Our schools in Frisco were closed today, which seemed silly but I was happy to not have to get out and make the short drive. Of course the sunshine is misleading and the boys want to be out jumping on their trampoline - I'm like NO WAY - I feel like I'm frostbitten after just a few minutes out there :)

Um - yeah - I loved how Keller was the first ISD in the Metroplex to close and then all the ice was gone by 10:00. Somehow I always end up having to stay home with the kids even though I'm trying to save all my vacation and sick time for when I pop out #3 in April. It is NOT supposed to be this cold here and when it's too cold for kids to go outside, it makes for a LOOOOOONNNNGGG day for us non-stay-at-home moms who are used to adult interaction all day. Yea for work tomorrow.

Darcy - you're nicer than me - I would have told him SOL on the burger! ;)

I live in Keller! Where are you out? I'm near Central.

I didn't see any ice around us, but my hubby saw a car in a ditch on his way to work... so there must have been something.

Sigh. Ya'll make me laugh. We hit 28 today and I didn't even bother with a coat. It wasn't bad at all.

LOL When you're not used to this, it's a hard change. We'll laugh during the summer when people complain that it's 88F outside. Just shows that your body reacts to what you're used to.

It wasn't that bad yesterday...it was definitely cold, and I felt it most coming back into the house..took me quite a few minutes to feel warm again. But I dread being cold (though in the middle of our 110 weather in the summer..I dream about days like this LOL. Wait..no I don't. I dream about it being in the 50's - this is just too cold).
