Log Your Memory Question

For those of you that have your books...do you absolutely love it...can't live without it? If so, why? I'm still trying to decide if I should get it or not...

I love it!! I have to remind myself to do it every day, but so far so good - You can always just do month to month ... That is how I started. I wanted to see if I would actually do it -

I like it so far... I'm using mine to keep track of my 365 photos too! I don't know if I would say that I can't live without it, but it is helping me to get my scrapping more organized (because I'm choosing to incorporate CT reqs into it too) and I really like having everything in one place!

Well, I've used mine every night. I've just added it to my nightly routine. Brush teeth, take medication, sit on bed & write in my LYM book. The first few days I had a lot to write, yesterday I just wrote some of the things from my day. I'm not using it as an appointment book... I just write all over the schedule. I think when I actually like the challenge prompt, I'll write some in that spot, too. I don't like this week's challenge prompt, so I'm skipping it. I'm not sure if/when I'll actually use it to inspire layouts, but it's going to be fun looking back through it.

I printed mine and though I can't say I couldn't live without it, I do LOVE it...I like all the little ideas, questions and prompts through out it....I have also written in it everyday :) I usually end up writing the next morning about the day before :) if I forget, I go check my 365 blog and copy :)

I agree with the others - I like it but can't say that I can't live without it. I will definitely like looking back on it in the years to come though! Think about that!

I'll start with the disclaimer that I'm on the CT over at Log Your Memory. But, I am enjoying mine even more than I thought I would. I keep it open on my desk and I jot down the little things I do all day, status updates from Facebook or Twitter that I think would be memorable, keep track of CT assignments, keep track of my P365 stuff, meal planning, sketches for layouts, other ideas for layouts, etc. I have found it so useful, and I know I am going to enjoy looking back through it later. I can tell that it is going to provide me with a really good record of this year.

Oh, and I also ignore the times on the daily planner. I just use that space to write down stuff about my day in whatever order I choose.

How are you using it to track CT stuff?

I mark the days when I'm supposed to do blog posts or challenges, write down deadlines for layouts, and make notes about ideas I have for layouts using CT stuff. It's not a huge part of what I do with the Logbook, but it's in there.

Hi girls...

Lydia mentioned this thread, so I thought I'd pop in & answer a couple questions.

You can currently get 10% off books at Lulu.com using coupon code: READMORE2010. It can only be used once & expires January 31, 2010. I will also honor that coupon in our on-site store for the downloadable versions of the books.

I also wanted you to know I am paying attention when folks like you share what you like/don't like about the Logbook and what's on your "wish" list. I'd love for you to share your comments in a thread in our forum set up for that purpose... you can find that HERE.

Hope that helps! I love SSD & love that so many of you are using the Logbook - we make a great team! :)

Yay! Thank you Kristen! I just went and bought the downloadable version! I really appreciate you sharing that code!

Can NOT wait to use it tomorrow! Woohoo! Now I am going to bed a really happy girl!

I was never the type to have a planner to capture all my appointments and notes about what is going on... when I was working, I had my work calendar to do that for me. So, with December's LYM book, I was skeptic and figured I'd only use it for my assignments... well, I used it so much that the book looks like it's been in a fight and came out second best... it's dog eared, scribbled all over the place to remember what I want to scrap for December Daily... etc. So, now going into 2010 I've been using it a lot... to help protect it from the "elements", it sits on my nightstand. Every night before going to bed, hubby and I discuss what happened in the day... I've added a High/Low of the day under the day column and what the weather was like that day. And if hubby is in a chatty mood, I'll even ask him the prompt questions... it's been fun! It's like we are dating again...

Disclaimer... I'm on the CT for LYM... Kristin does not bribe me with chocolate to endorse the product... this post is my honest opinion... ;)

I'm enjoying mine. I use it to keep track of meals, what was planned versus what was eaten & how new recipes went over. I also have my daily appts in there & notes about my 365 photos. I used to keep a 5 year journal where I had 5 lines to note the day & coouldn't find a new one last year when I needed it. I'm using this for it now, though it's not quite the same since I won't be able to see this year next year. It's big, which makes it a bit awkward for me space wise but so far I am really enjoying igt

I have been enjoying using mine. I keep it on my night-table and every night jot down soem notes about the day or a recent event. I also like the challenge prompts -- not sure if I'll actually scrap all those pages, but I do like thinking about the questions and writing down some stuff about myself that will be available for my kids in one for or another down the road.

i got the d/l version and have yet to print it out. I took it to FedEx to ask about getting it printed and they said it would be over $30 to print out. No thanks. will have to do it at hone I guess but haven't had the chance.

Um. I bought the Challenges book (printed at the office. I'm a bad girl, what can I say). Since there's a coupon now, I'm wondering if I should get the full logbook, coz I read my challenges book every night. Opinions? :)
