Who's taking Cathy Z's Design Your Life?

I saw some buzz about it here and had to check it out and then decided to take it after finding out that it's likely the last time it's offered... Anyways, I'm wondering who I'll recognize in there...

I didn't sign up, because I could probably not be able to do all the assignments. I pray that Cathy changes her mind and offers the class next year one more time. :)

Looking forward to see your layouts in the gallery, girls (I've seen Heather's and it's great! :))

I'm taking Lisa Cohen's Wellness Journey at BPS, though. Is anyone there, too? :)

I just signed up for it today...with that said I need to make a trip to the LSS for a few supplies since mine will be either paper or hybrid.

I REALLY want to take this class, but I can't spend the $$ right now. We're saving for a bunch of stuff for the house this year. I'm going to re-take Stacy's Library of Memories, since I was awful at the follow through last year (alums get to take it again for free! WOOT!).

I signed up a few days ago and did my prework layout. I took Shimelle's JYC and loved having that push to get me to do a layout. I'm going to do this one digital (JYC was mostly paper, a little hybrid), so I hope I don't drop the ball.

Can't really spend that much on a class right now.

Anyone else taking The Challenge of Me? I've been looking at that one because I want the prompts to write meaningful journaling. Still deciding.

It's all about design, so it's for anyone really. Cathy has started selling at Designer Digitals, so I'm sure she'll address digital questions. But the basics of good design apply to all mediums.

If I read the description right... she will be providing digital templates this year...

yes, this is what I'm understanding. She provided a template for the pre-work and she provided the logo and stuff in .psd so that we can change colors if we wanted to... it's why she's offering a discount to alumni so that they can take advantage of the digital materials this time around. From the intro it sounded like there is an additional forum for digital scrappers who are taking the class too.

That's what I got from what I've read, too. And of the LOs in the gallery last night, it looked like a significant number of us are doing it digi.

I am just not sure if it's worth the money for me - Im still confused what you get for it......

Same here. I understand it's about graphic design, but I'm afraid it's aimed at people with graphic, minimalist style, which is just not my style.

Well the layouts/templates are in Cathy's simple style, but the information is based on design principles that can be applied to any design style. Each week focuses on a different design principle, things like symmatry, balance, typography, etc. Cathy just uses her style to explain the principles because that's what she knows and it's easier to see the principles in simpler layouts. But you can easily make the layouts more you using her layout as a base.

I took the class the first time around and really enjoyed it. Its defintely one of the more digi-friendly classes at BPS.

i'm taking it too :) i've signed up for a couple of other classes in the past, though - and never follow through :( so hopefully i'll be more on the ball this time!

I am taking it. It sounded like it was a good class for design principles and I need all the help I can get.

Miss Kim, that is me!... Just kidding. :)
I'm not taking the class, but I'm seriously thinking about it. Looks like I would be in good company.
