I am such a sushi loser!

I love sushi. There is no other way to explain it. I am hopelessly addicted. I could eat it every single day, morning, noon and night.

So I've only had the experience of making it once. Usually I just order out. However, it was so easy to make and it tasted soooo good that I wanted to try it again.

I made it. Just now. As soon as the kids were done eating lunch, I cooked my rice, chopped my veggies/crab and now I'm sitting here...enjoying.

But I couldn't even wait for the stinkin' rice to cool off. I just scooped it out of the pot and away I went.

What can I say? I like instant gratification!! :D
 
Yep, love sushi, too! The whole family does, in fact. It is always a big mess when we make it ourselves but is is really satisfying.
 
mmmmmm Sushi is the best but I disagree..you don't really LOVE sushi until you eat it raw. LOL.

I learned a couple months ago that there's such a thing as California Style Sushi that is just now making it's way into other parts of the country/world. So what I've always had is different than other parts of the country. Weird. But you've not had sushi till you've had California Style. mmmmmmmm

and no, I'm not talking about California rolls. yuck..the most bland and boring Sushi you can have.

yes. I'm a giant sushi snob and we eat it all the time too. It's majorly addictive.
 
OH YUM....me wubs SUSHI too! Me big sushi fan! Everyone except for the little one loves it in our family.....we make it too sometimes. I could literally eat it morning, noon and night just like you Leah! YUM!

Oh I love the little sushi-eater...it's soooo cute!

My kids love sushi and always ask to eat it!

LOL well there's nonaw stuff that's infinitely better than California rolls...just check out the "sushi beginners" side of the menu..at least all the restaurants I've ever been to has that :)
 
Usually I am not a big fish eather, but I do like the salmon and tuna ones - even raw ;) My 4yo DS loves the prawns! I like to get a mixed platter with all sorts of sushi, have a soup as a starter and then we dig in the sushi :thumbup:
 
I love sushi! Cooked and raw, fish and veggies. My oldest is particularly fond of the egg omlette sort. Our favorite teppan yaki place has sushi special night once a month where the sushi chef makes all these different special combo rolls as an assortment platter. You get to try all sorts of neat & different things.

Not too fond of the sea urchin though.
 
I've never tried it... had the chance in my Japanese language course... but I wasn't adventurous enough! The thought of eating raw fish just makes my stomach turn too!!!! I don't think I'll ever try it... my brother loves it though, and he & I are so much alike!

My boys all eat them too.

I've never really had a second thought about the raw fish. I guess we must be adventurous eaters! lol! :p

ETA: the only stuff that I really don't like in my sushi is that nasty fake crab. Yucky!
 
mmmmmm ... sushi! yum yum yum!! i love love love it all ... we have a great place near our house that makes some great rolls - my favorite right now is called green ocean and has salmon and eel ... :) delish! but i really like it ALL ... the worst thing about being pregnant for me was not being able to eat all the sushi i wanted (i still had the cooked kind - LOL - but i missed the raw stuff - haha) (i also missed wine - LOL!) ...
 
I would eat everything raw if I could. I love sushi (I have had fresh raw salmon, right off the hook), raw oysters, raw everything. I love my steaks rare, veggies raw, etc.

Although, I have to be in a special mood for octopus. One look at the suckers, and I throw up in my mouth a little sometimes.
 
I eat sushi raw. Never even heard of cooked stuff in sushi, except maybe for those that have egg. That said, I prefer sashimi though. Something about cold raw salmon. Yummy!
 
I really love seafood. I mean living in FLorida you almost have to love seafood LOL. I love shrimp, crab, lobster, mussels, scallops, clams, shark, fish of all kinds. That said my fish has to be cooked. Fried preferably. Steamed sometimes (lobster, crabs and shrimp) with lots of Ole Bay for seasoning. No sushi for me. My husband tried it once and got sick for the next day. Maybe he got some bad sushi but just looking at it makes me sick now after seeing what it did to him.
 
i LOVE tuna or salmon sashimi. don't like eating raw fish with rice (sushi), since i also have to dip the entire thing into soy sauce with wasabi. just so icky for me.

i was really bummed when i can't eat sashimi while prego.
